The Shoe isn't that bad of a joint. Hit it up Friday and Saturday if you're looking for something of a crowd; during the rest of the week you could find that you are one of a lonely handful of guys there. The dancers aren't goddesses, and as in any club you have a couple girls whose looks would shatter mirrors; but overall they are friendly, sometimes flirtatious, and contribute to a pretty relaxed atmosphere. Beer and alcohol are fairly reasonable for a club. One thing that has needed to change for awhile though is the whole "private dance" scenario: $35 gets you led to a common room in the back, with 8 stalls that run along two of the walls. On a busy night, if your eyes wander from your dancer, you could find yourself looking across the way at a dude getting his groove on. Buzz kill. Nothing really private about it. In any case, I've had fun the past couple of times that I've wandered there -- and that's what it's all about, right? The rating would be higher if the privates really were private, and if there were a wider selection of talent on stage.

Perhaps the worst strip club I've been to till date.

First I landed at the wrong address. Then while driving to Divas, found it on the way. It was around 10:30-11 pm when I entered on Thrusday (which in my opinion is a great day; at least at Vixens@Bunker Hill, WV). Entrance was $5. The whole place seem deserted. There were about7 girls and 3 guys. They seemed to be there to enjoy their drinks more than the girls.

I was the only one sitting next to the stage. The girls certainly did not have a motivation for dancing. The place was EMPTY and the barmaid was also playing DJ for night. So I moved back to bar and took a drink. By now one of the dancers (Diamond) approached me and we started talking. She pretty decent at talking. After about 20 mins. or so I decided to get a private dance from her.

$35 BUCKS!!!! So not only was it the worst place, but also expensive. I tried to reason why are they this expensive and believe it or not the reason I got was because they do a lot *grind* and they'd even take my shift off to give that special feel. No Thanks !!!

I was take to their private room, which happened to be better lit than most I've been to. There was a juke box. Juke Box??? I was asked what kind of music do I like (but I wasn't there for music. My car probably has more than the whole jukebox there). I let the lady decide on choice of music. Oh, and one more thing. If you ever happen to get close to the juke box, they've pasted a reminder (for the girls): NOT to play any song greater than 5 mins. :-)

The dance was okay. Trust me, I've had better. A lot better. I even tipped her (out of courtesy). To top it she asked me to buy her a drink. I usually do not refuse to ladies. So I got her another $7 Bacardi. By this time, the male population had increased by 2; but they again were more into drinks than anything else.

I spent another 15 minutes with Diamond while she tried to get me to get more dances, including girl on girl. Naah. Then it was her turn to get on stage and I decided to leave.

In all, not going there back again.

Sad to say, I have to agree with the previous review. The quality of girls , at least in midweek, is dropping fast with several who literally scare me away from stage-side when they come on.
The private dances are too steep at $35 as they are well policed as a general rule.
It's my nearest club so I'm sad to see it go downhill. The bar staff are always friendly and the drinks are cheap. They need to attract some better dancers or I'll drive past a go on to Martinsburg.

I've been visiting here for two months. In comparison with the DC clubs, it's worth the hour drive.
But...

On the plus side, alcohol is cheap. $3 beers, $7 shots. The girls for the most part are relatively pretty and don't make you want to gouge your eyes out with a spoon.

However, management creates unnecessary drama. The $35 privates is steep. Some girls deliver more behind closed doors than others... largely dependant on the girls' prior alcohol consumption. Buyer beware. There also seems to be slim pickins as of late in the girl department: Shilo, Devon and Alex are the prettiest of the bunch. The rest range somewhere between mediocre and scare-the-paint-off-of-the-walls.

If this is your first time here, I would recommend bouncing between here and Diva's, another club about 10 minutes north on Rte. 9. Figure out what works for you.

This club remains the class of the Martinsburg/Bunker Hill area.

It has been remodeled providing a view all the way down the very long stage. Five or more girls dance at once. The stage is at bar height on the two ends, but is floor level in the middle. Take your choice of the view you want.

Security is great. No private dance action that I saw, but also none of the ridiculous WV table dance nonsense.

Last time I was there in 1998-99 but still all the same. All the ladies were as fine as,fine wine aged with time.

Went on a Wednesday night at about 10.30pm. The Club is closed on Monday and Tuesdays. Paid the $5 entry fee and walked in. There were about 6 customers in the place so I took a seat by the stage. It took me a couple of songs to realize that there was no waitress service on slow weeknights so I went to the bar for a very cold $3 beer and sat back down. There were about 8 or 9 dancers there ranging from one 9, a couple of rail thin 7's and the rest were 3's and 4's. When the 9 came off stage, I missed the chance to tip her, she just went and sat down on the dancer's couch and had a smoke. I decided she was the only one I might want a private dance from and that I wasn't going to be asked so I walked over to ask her. She walked with me to pay the $35 to the front desk and we went back to the private room with another dancer as "bouncer". Her name was Magic, a shapley brunette, I had seen her before but I am not a regular that she might know. Her demeanor throughout was very matter of fact, at no time did she ever engage any conversation with me. The dance is on an armless easy chair in an alcove. She got fully nude after about 30 secs and gave a pretty good sensual dance including some grinding of her nude pussy on my lap. Throughout the evening I took 5 private dances from her at $35 plus $20 tip totalling $275. On a very slow night that wasn't enough to get any attention from her outside the private dance room. On the plus side her "incidental" contact especially with my face got better and better with each dance and kept me coming back. All-in-all I'd rate her dances highly because of that but also beecause physically she's just my type. I'm going back Sunday and will see if she even acknowledges me. For non-regulars at clubs such as myself there is a delicate balance between being hussled and being ignored. I like this club, but it tips way too far on the ignored side. Part of the pleasure of strip clubs is having attractive girls come up to you and ask for a dance etc. We know it's for the money but it's still nice. Previous visits here on Weekend nights had a few more good looking dancers but it can also very crowded and noisy.

This is a nice open club that is somewhat off the beaten path. It has a $5 cover and the loveliest girls in the area. There is a huge bar to the right as soon as you walk in that has lots of different kinds of beer. To the left is a room with a couple of pool tables. Straight ahead is one of the stages, the biggest one. The girls here are beautiful. My favorite is Savannah. She has the biggest natural tits I've seen in a long time and she takes her time smashing your face between them when you tip. She hung out with me a played pool between her shifts on a slow Sunday night. I came back several times to see her and had a private dance in the back room where she got completely naked, sat on my lap and took my hands and let me hold and squeeze her tits. They were so heavy I almost creamed right there. She did a slow grind. It was great. I'd recommend the Horsehoe any time your in the area.

went to this club thursday night. paid a $5 cover for entry. had several dancers who went through the motions. one of which is magic. stay away from this diminutive brunette. her private dances are horrible and her stage dances are even worse. worst of all, they couldn't serve me cold beer

Stopped in around 10pm on Sunday (12/19). There was a $5 cover, and I had to sign in. I thought about putting "John Smith", but decided against it. The place was utterly empty. With no customers, no one was actually dancing when I went in. The DJ had called in sick. There was a lot of that going on that night in the area. There was snow forecast.

Draft beers were $3. Mixed drinks are a little more.

This is not a flashy club. It has more of a roadhouse look. The stage for dancers is an interesting blend. There is a portion at the end that is the typical stage - the stage is a little above normal table height with seats around it. The seats continue down the sides, but the stage drops down to almost floor level. The girls ranged from 6 to 8, mostly high 7s and 8s, mostly white. One looked old enough to be the mom of some of the other dancers.

Dawn, a high 8 to low 9, took to the stage. She was wearing a dress with a dragon print, slit up the sides all the way to her hips. It was a nice change of pace from the usual dancer outfit. She had a beautiful, classic body; not rail thin like many of the girls dancing in this area, but not overweight at all. She was just nicely curved and soft.

After her set, I took a seat at the bar next to her and chatted for quite a while. No one was hustling for private dances. With no DJ, there were no pushes going on. I bought Dawn a drink. It wasn't a "dancer drink", just a regular mixed drink. I decided to check dawn out for a private dance. At the Horseshoe, they call it the Hot Seat. It's $35/song (nude) in the private room; $40 on stage. I can't imagine paying more to be part of the show, but it's probably popular with the bachelor party crowd.

The private room has several stalls, each with a cushy, armless chair, and no curtain. The bouncer walks you to the room, and hangs out by the door, out of sight, but within earshot. Dawn gives a great lap. She didn't offer any extras (no surprise with the bouncer just on the otherside of a thin wall), and didn't allow any mutual touching, but she knows her craft. A 3-minute grind can be pretty enjoyable, but Dawn gives a more sensual dance.

After the first song, I wasn't ready to go. I handed the bouncer the cash for another dance, and I'm really glad I did. I can't remember the song that the girls out on the stage played on the jukebox, but it was about a 6-minute song. I got an accidental 2-for-1. My lucky day. By the end of that song, I was a very satisfied customer.

Dawn is reportedly a very popular girl for privates. I can see why. I highly recommend seeking her out if you go to the club. I definitely will.


Overall one of the nicest clubs in the area. The girls are a plenty on weekendnights. They have all three stages going with 2-3 girls on each stage. A lot of nice "girl next door"types. Beers are resonible prices. Get a dance in the back room as opposed to the stage dances.

This was my second attempt to visit the Golden Horseshoe. The first time was a few months ago and it was closed, with no signs or explanations. I’m glad I came back. This is a big, attractive, comfortable club, with one main stage and two smaller ones. There’s also a pool table and other games in a backroom. Most of the girls are attractive too. Of the six I saw, five were in the 8-9 range, and the sixth was a contortionist, which made up for her plain looks. And the price of beer (under $3) more than makes up for the $5 cover.

But despite all these advantages, the place was surprisingly dead. Maybe its because I was there early (around 8:00), but it seemed odd that on a Friday night, the dancers outnumbered the customers. Considering how close the place is to the Maryland and Virginia borders (both states have pretty restrictive laws), a great club like the Horseshoe should draw from a wide area. I’m hoping it was just a slow night.



I was in the area (about 25 miles away) and after a zip code search I decided I'd try out this club. There was good reference to a decent crowd on a Wednesday night and that happened to be when I went (5/19/2004).

The club is in the middle of nowhere. Upon driving in, the club is well lit and the parking looks to be pretty good. Though I would guess that it can get tricky on the weekends.

Entry into the club was $5. This club considers itself a saloon as well as a gentleman's club. Drinks are very well priced. A beer is $2.75 and a coke was $2. There are stages all around though for this evening, they were only using the middle section. This club is very comfortable, the lighting is done well. You can see well, but it is dark enough to give it a good atmosphere. The crowd on this night was older than I'm used to seeing. I was among the younger guys there and I'm mid 30s.

The club itelf is big enough to handle a 250-300 people with ease and there were anywhere from 20-50 people on this Wednesday evening. The seating is very comfortable. The music was awesome. This was perhaps the best music strip club I've ever been to. I love that they played a ton of classic rock with some country and metal mixed in. There was no rap played and the volume was set at a very comfortable level.

There were about 15 girls working and they would range from a 4 to a 9. They had the entire gambit of girls here. They had the sultry sexy dancers to the barbi doll Britney Spears look-alike (she really does look a LOT like her), to the rebel chick with tons of tatoos, to a few girl next doors (my favorite). The dances were two song sets, but instead of having a dancer rotation where one comes in and one leaves, they were going up and dancing in twos and threes. They didn't really interact with each other, but they did a good job of dancing. There was a review where they were talking about the girls doing amazing pole work. I saw a little bit that was very good, but it wasn't a major focus. The primary pole the girls were using was only about 7 feet tall (very low ceilings for the girls on stage) and so they didn't have a lot they could do. The club is full nude though there were only three girls that went completely nude on the dance floor. All of them would give you a full showing, but for some reason they didn't go bare. This is a club that actually needs to turn up the aggressiveness of the dancers a little bit. I was at the club for two hours before I had a girl say more than "thank you." Finally I had one girl start a conversation then another joined. I never once was asked for a private dance and I had to initiate the conversation about them and the rules and such.

Private dances are $35 each. I never got the impression that they were negotiable for multiple dances. The $35 is paid to the front desk and then they get the girl that you request. Then she gets the bouncer to open the private room and then picks a song on the jukebox. The music for a private dance is different than in the general club. So I guess you could request Freebird if you wanted the most for your money. The rules for private dances are no touching the girls, period. They get fully nude (depends on the dancer, so I would ask before hand), and they can touch you (once again, depends on the dancer). I had a dance from a cute young (20ish) girl calling herself Crystal. She's very pretty though I think she works way too hard at trying to be sexy. But the private dance was pretty good.

I had a really good time and if I'm back in the area, I won't hesitate to go back. The club itself gets an 8.5 but the girls and the house rules get a 5.5 (due mainly to the lack of interaction). Split the difference and I give it a 7.

I stopped in for a quick drink and look see. The place was packed, I sat at the bar where you can see the dancers but from a distance. There are chairs up against the long curving stage where the dancers were dancing up close and personal. The girls moved around to different parts of the stage after a song or two had past, with about 10 dancers dancing at one time. Some girls were extremely athletic/ flexible on the pole ( I was impressed), many were very attractive. The girls came and sat with the customers after they got off the stage. The overall energy of the place was good, I'll have to stop by again to get a better feel of the place.

I really like the Horseshoe. The girls are very friendly, and diverse. One girl swings all over the poles like a gymnst, another does the poles with style and grace, and another adds a rockstar like attitude to it. Some girls have big titties, some girls have small ones. Some are just perfect, like Saffire and Tiffany. You should check it out.

I've seen and read alot about the Shoe. You enter into the bar area witha few small table and a L-shaped bar on you right. The stage is behind apartion wall with pictures of dancers, none of whom I saw that night. The stages have a strange layout with different levels and a shape that defies any discription. I saw about 10 dancers that ranged from a sizzling little brunette who just put on a pole show like very few can to one that I almost fell asleep watching at the stage. There where some who had been dancers for a couple of months and one or two who been at it for a decade or more.
Once off stage the dances mostly sat with other dancers or a few steady customers. Could not tell you how the lap dances are. This is the first club I've been to in years that after tipping every dancer every song at the stage, I never was asked about a private dance. I'll be passing the Shoe and heading for Martinsburg from now on.

I love this club. The last time I made the trek out from DC was with my wife and female co-worker. That night there was a $10 cover, but there are nights with no cover. The bar is to the right and there are several stage areas laid out in front of you. A center stage and two L shaped stages along the walls. Between the right stage and the bar is the hallway to the private dance room and the bathrooms.

The relaxed atmosphere in the place is a refreshing change from the no-contact chug-your-drink-and-buy-another clubs of DC itself. It wasn't too hard to get a seat at the stage and the parade of girls that came by ranged from ok to terrifically hot. My wife and I fell in love with slender blonde Charisma, and I love the tall, curvy Alexa. Our friend picked Amy, a taught little number with long raven-black hair and an ass to die for. Dawn with the sexy lips, whom I first saw at the Huddle club is now dancing at the Golden Horseshoe, which makes me happy. Some of the girls are pretty nice about the way they take their tips (nice breast contact) and it definitely helped me to be sitting with two women.

After getting a bunch of dances, I asked Dawn to give my wife a private dance, with me and my friend watching. It's $35 for the dance, and another $5 to watch. That was hot - Dawn used me as a support while she gyrated all over my wife, with lots of contact for me. :-)

Then my wife and I got tandem dances from Charisma and Alexa. Alexa was my choice and she's hot, but Charisma really gets into her lap-dancing - undulating up and down your body 'til you feel like you need a cigarette.

Finally we watched my friend get a dance from Amy, and let me tell you - my favorite part was every time Amy turned to face my friend, giving my us a terrific view of her perfect round ass.

A great night, and well worth it.

The girls where 6s to 10s. The stage area had good lighting so that you could see the girls and there was not alot of smoke which is nice. The private dances are great, totally nude, no tuching but the girl does enough. It was a great time.

The horseshoe is not as good as it gets, but its pretty darn good. Especially if you see "Alex" - she is a real knockout - the "all american girl" gives the best private dance I have ever had - she especially seemed to enjoy giving the dance to my female companion - you gotta love it when a dancer shows a little enthusiasm for the ladies like that!!

One thing I will mention about the club is that the damn people running it keep shutting down all the action so they can auction off the panties or whatever, and it takes a half hour!! So ther are like screaming at the top of their lungs, "who'll gimme 25, 25 here for these panties" and you start to get a head-ache!
All in all, a nice place - if they drop the auction act I'll raise my rating from the 7 I gave it.



Things keep getting better at the 'shoe. I think the influx of racing money down the road at the track has upgraded the quality here. Cover and drinks are still cheap compared to big city clubs. The VIP has been improved from my last visit and the girls a little younger, a little tighter, and alot less tatoos. This is a great club for having a few cold ones and watching the ladies.
