Went to Paper Moon around 5 pm and I was the only patron. There were about 6 girls there at that time. I stuck up a conversation with one girls (short, blonde, cute) but it didn't lead to anything. The VIP room was $100+ and I had hoped to get a special (which she told me they offer, but had to have at least 4 people in there to offer it). Lighting was ok, no heavy pressure to tip. Just a slow day I guess.

OK i hadnt been to PM in nearly 10 months. Kinda got tired of the way they operate. But I decided to go back with a friend to see if it had changed. Well they have - a little. First they have a full liquor license. Not that big a deal to me but it means they have to keep those pasties on while every club in Richmond has given them the toss. Secondly, ur $10 ( maybe more on weekends) admission is now a food charge. Why? Well they HAVE to serve food for the ABC license - so that means u get access to the buffet. THe dancers tell me its good. Me, Im not one to eat at SCs...

Bigger news is how they now do dances. 20 dollars lap ( more like table ) dances in the main room - these are tops on with limited touching. THe VIP area is now tops off - full contact lap dances. THe VIP LDs are 60 bucks. THey run 2 for 1s all nite long and the M.O. for girls is to attach themselves to a custie and wait for the 2 for 1 hoping u will do one. If u do - good luck switching dancers. THey are on u until u leave. But its always been this way at PM. The 2 for 1s are obviously not what they seem and u prolly are better off getting a 10 minute VIP dance for 100. THey still have the curtained section off the VIP room but I think u need to spend 15 for 150 to get access.

With the new VIP lds this club has gone up a notch in my rating but it is still annoying in the way they do the 2for1s and the obnoxiously loud music. I still believe they would be better to forgo the 2for1 and just do the VIP for 40/ song and tables side dances for 20. Still I have gone to the PM 3 times this week ( I had to be sure I was liking it more ) and I did have fun. The ladies at the moon are top-notch but mngt still is below par...

The Moon continues to tinker with the formula. The latest twist is in the PD pricing structure. No more regular $20 PD's in the back, they are now performed out front on the main floor. Two-for-one's are reportedly the same, but aren't being announced as frequently. The new menu includes 10 minutes in the VIP area for $100, 15 for $150, or 30 for $250. I think it's a mistake to take away the regular $20 PD, as the moderately budgeted PL's like myself are now forced to wait for a 2-for-1 or blow the evening's roll on a single dancer. Drink prices and cover appear to be the same. Lots of turnover in the stage talent, and there were a lot of lookers for a Wednesday night, which made it all the more frustrating that "sampling" is no longer really feasible (unless you like 1-way contact table dances in full view of the entire club).

Friday afternoon, about 7 patrons and 8 or 9 dancers working. Pretty solid-looking crew, rate them 6-7 and above. Domestic beer $4, import $5, cover $5. Signs up throughout the place announcing that they're now open Saturdays at noon -- that's cool for sneaking out of the house on a weekend. Nice to see they're keeping the drink prices in line. Haven't tried the new mixed drink lineup, but I'm sure the prices are a lot higher. The bartender gets up and dances on stage during the frequent 2-for-1's if all the entertainers get snatched up.

From the reviews I went here prepared to be underwhelmed. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised, so much so I returned the next day. The club may not be in the best neighborhood, but it was not unsafe, just industrial. Upon entering, you are actually in a pretty nice strip club environment. There are three stages, and a girl rotates through all three during her set, one song on each. Yes, it is Virginia, so there are bikinis and pasties, but you deal with what you have, and most of the girls here, on both day and night shifts were 8+. (And on Saturday night there was a little blond waitress that took a shift on stage that may have been the best of all!) Private dances come in stages -$25 for a song in a separate room, or $100 for 3 songs in a more private room, or even more money for even more time in a different room. I stuck with the $100 deal and had a great time.

Friday lunch time visit. $5 cover. $5 soda (pretty big). Buffet, not well light. Looked like maybe some pasta and a meat and vegetable dish of some sort. I didn't eat anything though.

Several attractive girls. I was surprised by that...usually not the case in most clubs I have been to during the day. Got some personal attention from a very attractive girl. We talked for a while. I got the 2 for 1 couch for $20. I wasn't allowed to touch, but she did a great grind.

They also have a $60 for 1 song dance...didn't get that. Private dances were $250 for a half hour ( I believe)...didn't get one, although I was tempted...I really liked the dancer that was hanging out with me.

Probably will visit at lunch again.

Finally had a chance to stop at the Downtown Paper Moon last week. Much smaller inside than I had imagined. You are greeted at the door by a couple of "wanna be" bouncers in cheap... poor fitting suits... trying to give the impression that this is a high class club... not !!! The cover during the afternoon was $5 which did include the daily buffet (which I was told is always the same old bar-b-que, rolls, slaw and veggies). Didn't see even one person trying out the buffet during my whole stay. One open room with a large stage in the middle, two smaller step down stages on each end w/ a pole and another small stage off to the left side. The bar is all the way in the back and only has seats for about 6-8 people. There is other seating around the walls on on the floor surrounding the stage. Usually two girls dancing on stage at once, with several others working the room for lap dances (which I assume are done across the hall in a separate room). Did not take anyone up on the laps since this is Virginia... and I thought very high at $25... and I noticed that the songs all seem to be cut very short. They did run serveral 2 for 1's during the two hours I was there with all the girls available at that time. Did make my way to the edge of the stage once or twice to take a closer look since it was very dark inside. A lot of young girls with silicone, a large number of which seemed to be European, but very nice on the eyes. Not too pushy about dances other that during the offerings for the 2 fers. The female bartender and the waitress on duty were average at best, in both looks and attitude. The DJ is way too loud and you can't understand a word he says. Probably wouldn't have rated so high except for the looks of the girls working that afternoon. I would go back if I was in the area, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

Had a fun Thursday night visit recently. There were a lot of girls working, at least 25, maybe 30. They were running frequent 2-for-1's, like 3 per hour, and about two-thirds of the girls couldn't sell a dance, so all the unsold dancers crowd up on the stage for the two songs and shimmy aimlessly around. It's kind of amusing and pointless. Anyway, saw a lot of new faces, including two appealing Russians, Diamond and a friend of hers with a sensational enhanced rack. Diamond sat with me most of the evening and I ended up getting a pair of really good 2-for-1's with her. I'll be back soon to check out the Russians again -- I need to get up close with the friend's ta-ta's.

Visitd the PM Downtown while passing thru on I95. Only a few min off of the interstate (near Baseball Stadium) in an industrial area. Little scary on a Saturday night, but once inside things seems OK. Opened at 8pm on a Sat night, which was kinds odd, but ok its Richmond. Cover $12, with a "two drink min" Buddy picked up beer tab, so did not catch beer prices, but he did not complain so must be reasonable. Dancers: Vary from 6-8 with a slight grading on the curve for being in Richmond Va where pasties are manadatory. Still, pasties are flesh coloer, so you still get the topless effect. Lappers were $25, but did many 2 for 1's and VIP prices seem to be negotigable. Mileage seemed to vary by dancer, so be selective. All in a better trip than I expected..& just because I expected less and got more...

THAT IS A RICHMOND 7 ONLY! You know that itch that you know is gonna really annoy you if you scratch it, but just can't resist, maybe hoping it'll be different this time? Well, this place is kinda like that for me. I would stop in here occasionally when I lived in Richmond, but always ended up leaving a little disappointed - I was weaned on South FL strip clubs, so I guess I'm spoiled. Anyway, I was back in town last week, and just had to give it another go. As usual, there were two really attractive girls and the rest were just so-so. The music is always good, the sound system pumps, the beers are cold, and the bartender is better than average every time I go in, but I just can't seem to get past the fact that this is a Richmond club. Almost no touching, pasties, OUTRAGEOUS private dance prices, and FORGET about seeing anything south of the hairline. Again, this isn't South FL. If you are looking for a good couple of hours of watching scantily clad women dance for you and stop by to chat while you enjoy some nice cold beer, then this is the best place I have found in the Richmond area to get it.

I've been going to the Papermoon downtown for about 10 months. It has a really nice stage layout with one large centre circular stage and a smaller stage on either side. This means there are always at least 3 girls dancing at any one time. There have always been a good number of girls working (sometimes up to 30) there when I have visited. You'll have to keep the tips coming if you want to keep their attention though, they certainly aren't interested in sitting with you for free. A few girls have tattoos which I really like too.

I went on a Sunday and Monday nights. So maybe this is not the best time for this club but having been to its Southside companion in the same nights, I must say I am ver dissappointed. The dowtown club is not nearly as nice. They did have 2 attractive girls Danielle and KC ( or Casey) but most fo the time they all sat together. It was just boring. They also have more strigent touching rules here than at Southside. I didnt like that either.

Otherwise its the same deal. 25 dollors dances and 10/minuite VIP ( tops off )- 100 bucks minimum. But virtually no one gets lap dances ( tops on ) since they do a 2 for 1 very often especially if it slow. Personally I think the Papermoon would be better off having 20 dollar topless laps. Maybe its the VA abc laws but u get topless in VIP. They could do so much better.

Summer hours are back in effect at the downtown Paper Moon, opening at noon on Wed. through Friday. Southside club still opens at noon on Friday only. My last visit was pleasant though not earth-shattering. A nice selection of dancers, including a few new faces (travelers?) and some old favorites. That biker chick, the one with the monstrous tattoo on her lower back, is still there and looking hot as ever. Bambi still looks good, but her PD's are not as good as they used to be. Hope to be back soon.

The Papermoon downtown is located in a seedy looking area of the Richmond business district. It is tucked away behind a bunch of rather unattractive warehouses. The building is two stories, pink, and does not look like much. However, once you enter the club, it looks a lot better. It is a clean looking place with a lobby and two seperate areas, each with poles. The sound system is pretty good, and it tends to lean towards Rock as the main genre of music played.
The Papermoon is a professionally run club as far as its apperance and organization. It has the better looking dancers in the area, although as with every club, there are exceptions. There were more pole-tricks and generally a more impressive quality of acutal stage dancing. The lap dances are a bit lame as you can't really do much, and the girls are covered. The drinks are really overpriced, as are the VIP dances. It is definitly the classiest of all the clubs in Richmond.

OK, here is the deal with this club. This is what you expect to see when you go to a club in a large city. The building is nice, it is big, and it is decorated like a strip club should be. There are bouncers dressed in nice clothes and there is a hot girl at the front desk selling merchandise. The are several HOT dancers dancing on several stages at all times, and they rotate from song to song. So everyone gets a chance to tip no matter where you are sitting. The girls make their rounds around the club and there are several foreign girls working there (who are all extremely hot). The only draw back to this club is that it is not open during the daytime (accept maybe in the summer?) and it is only open certain nights of the week. All in all, this is a first rate place with hot women, a classy atmosphere, and a well thought out plan for the way everything should run. As for private dances, I bought one from one of the Russian girls I mentioned above. Aside from maybe being a little too detached, it was a great dance and worth every penny. I would recommend this club to anyone coming through Richmond (provided they are actually open).

Need to get caught up on reviews. Went to this club last week and found it to be fairly tame. Of course, I had been in Florida the previous week and that served as a bad comparison. The place is small and when I went on Wednesday eve. the clientele were sparse. The dancers gave a rather un-inspiring dance but that may be due to the laws and being in the state Capital. This was my second visit but had not been back in over a year. Tha parking is within walking distance under the flyover and railroad bridge. Access is very easy and there are some good eating and drinking establishments within walking distance.

Richmond clubs are getting a little boring. I can't figure out why but the clubs are empty on an average weekend night - if there is a NASCAR race or other event in town, it's a different scene, else it is a drab. Now I don't much care about a club attracting a clientele or not, it is the fact that the quality/number of the dancers coming to the club has fallen down.
I pick on the Papermoon downtown to vent my frustruation because I have spent a few early evenings on fridays with as few as 5 girls rotating for 2-3 hours.

I still like the club, but the management needs to reduce their entry fee - $12 or atleast kill the $5 before 7.00pm charge; and add a happy hour to attract more clientele which in turn will attract more dances - simple supply and demand!

The club ambience is still awesome, but a club without dancers is no club at all.

The details:
Pasties, no hard liqour, $7 for beer, a $12 cover ($5 before 7.00pm) and $20 lap dances. $25 for the 2-for-1s.

Went on a Wednesday night two weeks ago . Place was dead till about 10 o’clock. Then it picked up as every Wednesday the club hosts a Girl Next Door night. The girls are either dancing for fun or trying out for the club. So...it was a good time just to see some girls having some fun. Some of them were dancers from out of town trying to win the 500 dollar prize and other were just having fun....this all started about 11 pm.

Plus as the crowd started to gather they were offering some 2 for one special. That being said do not expect much from the 20 dollar dances as you literally go to a large room with a huge dud named "tiny" watches everything. I asked one of the dancers how it works and for $125 you get 15 minutes upstairs with full contact. Did not try that this night.

Also the dancers spilt their time between this club and their sister club further south. The club further south is more a working collar club with smaller stages so the girls prefer to work the one with the larger stages and more floor space. The girls also have to pay a stage fee depending on how many days they work....so if you see something you like an want to come back make sure you know what days and which club thy will be working.

I had a good time, would go back again, definitely on Wednesday night for the local auditions. They were all fairly relaxed and easy going. Some of the girls were amazing, beautiful natural bodies and some were down right awful. I will definitely head back to the place closer to the weekend to see if it picks up.

Paper Moon downtown is the only club I've been to in Richmond, so I can only compare to clubs I've seen in NC. That being said, it's a pretty decent club. Large dance floor, nice decor, large VIP and private dance section. the girls here are a mix, with some being young and pretty, and some older, worn-down strippers. Your best bet is to go on Tuesday night, which is amature night, when the young hot college girls come out. A couple drawbacks to this club are going to be setbacks to any va club nowadays. No topless, (pasties must be worn), and no liquor, just beer and wine. I'd reccommend getting drunk before hand anyways so you don't have to pay their jacked-up prices. Overall, a good experience. I'd go again.

The place has changed a lot over the course of the year. First, the decor of the place has been remodeled, and there is now Paper Moon logo carpet and a completely redone back room for lap dances. Second, the dancer lineup has changed tremendously. The new girls are very attractive, especially by Richmond standards. So both of these are upgrades compared to my last review; why the downgrade? The rules on the lapdances have changed. After the local authorities cracked down on them earlier this year, touching is no longer allowed on the customer's part and the girl cannot use her hands to touch you. So, if you want a club with good decor and attractive women, the Moon is still good. If you are looking for good quality lapdances, then I can't recommend it anymore.

Excellent Thursday night at northside Moon this week -- beat the pants off southside. Saw a few new faces. Mia (or Mya), a very pretty blonde, spent a good part of the evening at our table. I had a dance with another blonde, forget her name, nice body, average face. It was a 2-for-1, I was a little drunk, and so could not resist. It was a forgettable dance, with lots of air and no touching allowed. The stage performances were good, at times there were 3 hot dancers going at once. I'll be back if Thursdays continue like this.

I visited the Paper Moon this week and found it after some difficulty. But it appeared safe wih a good many cars outside and someone attending the door. Inside, the main room was clean with three girls on one long stage. I found a table and sat down to get my bearings and a layout of the place. A good selection of girls all looking good. No ugly ones in sight. Shortly a gorgeous blond - well endowed - approached and asked for a dance. I replied I got arrived and wanted to watch for a while. She sat down and talked for a while. Turns out I spent the entire evening with her. Had several dances and had several drinks. The lap dance area was separate from the main dance area. There were many couches lined against a wall in a large room - watched by a very large man. So, no hanky panky going on in there. There lap dances were okay for a Virginia club.
Would recommend Paper Moon.

Went in a couple of months ago and noticed some changes. First, they have made the upstairs a VIP entry area. Apparently the girls will give laps in just G's up there. Entry to the area is $25. The club also has extended it's lunchtime hours for most of the week and runs the power hour (from 2-3 AM) several nights. That is the best hour in the club as they sometimes do girl on girl dances on the stage.

For Richmond, the club is still good, and they still bring in features. However, that lineup has been a bit scant of late. Top lap dancers are Billie Jo, Nikki, and Nina.

I'd never been in this club before, and was pleasantly surprised. The club itself is very upscale, and the girls were extremely beautiful and talented. There were plenty to choose from, but they didn't approach the customers as much as I'm used to, which can be both a negative and a positive. The girls were all above a 6, with several in the 8-10 category. A few were absolute pros on the pole, which I really enjoyed. I will definitely stop back by this club my next time in town, and will even try to go to the other location as well. Check it out!

A couple months back, I had the opportunity to stop off at the paper moon, in Richmond. I think we visited the "Downtown" club but it did ot feel like downtown. After a few blocks on a dark, warehouse-laden street, I really felt like I was near some docks, though I don't think Richmond has any major waterway. In any case, I have had scarier drives to a club, so I didn't think too much about it. I was out for the evening with my usual wingman. We left our 19 year old friend in the hotel, much to his chagrin, because we believed the club to be 21 and up.

We parked the car and approached the club. There were 2 men out front, one appeared to be a bouncer and the other, a manager. They stopped us, not to check ids but for a brief conversation. They inquired if we had visited previously, we hadn't. They then gave us a brief rundown of some standard clubbing rules, implying that we might misbehave. I assured them that we were not clubbing amateurs and they could expect no trouble from us. Satisfied, they gestured our welcome to the club.

Inside the door was a hallway. On the left was stairs going up. The far end of the hallway had 2 doors, one on either side. Ahead a bit on the right was a window with a lady collecting cover. Now this is a boring and thankless job but I believe this person is responsible for the first impression of the club. In this case, the manager assuming we would be problems was the first impression. This lady was the second and it was worse. She was very rude, would NOT accept that the wingman and I wished to pay our cover separately and generally made it clear she did not appreciate us, our presence or our business. Oh well, no tip for her.

We approached the far end of the hallway. I looked in the door to the right and quickly assessed that it was a dance room. So we entered the room on the left. This was the main dance room. There was a large 3 part stage in the center of the room. Chairs surrounded the stage and were all along the walls of the room. No couches or comfy seats, just chairs and tiny tiny tables. The far end of the room had the bar on the left and the Dj on the right. The stage had three dancers one on each part. The wingman and I found seats in the nearest corner and grabbed some chairs.

I lit up a cigar, which was not problematic, a plus for me. However, we couldn't get drinks right away as the waitresses kept going past. Finally, one stopped and I ordered a cocktail. "beer or wine, only." she tells me. What-What-What?? This was a first for me, I never been to a club that had alcohol but less than a full bar. I ordered a Pinot Grigio and the wingman ordered his coke. She moved off. She "became" our waitress which was bad because she was the worse one in the room.

Then I began to check out the talent. There were about 12 girls working, which meant that the rotation was quick. Most of them were 7s or above with a couple of 9s. Not a bad array of options. However, there was no room working whatsoever. Perhaps it was because we arrived late (around 11) and all the dance cards were full but we never, ever got offered a dance. We tried all the tricks...stage tipping with an invitation, eye contact and smiling, switching seats to be more accessable to the girls, but none of them came over. In fact, we would have been very lonely if not for the waitresses (cept for ours.) There were 2 other waitresses, once was a very hot asian (the only asian lady in the club) and the other looked EXACTLY like a girlfriend I had in high school. The spitting image. For a while, I thought it WAS her but it was just an incredible resemblence. Well, unlike the dancers, they did stop by, chat and generally behave pleasantly without being ubiquitious or annoying.

Once every 45 minutes or so, the DJ would call for "2 for 1" specials. I had read about these "specials" and knew better. However, it didn't matter because each dancer seemed to already have a customer for every single one of them. So even if I wanted one, it wasn't happening. When the specials were happening, the entire room cleared of dancers as they took the customers to the dance room. This would have been annoying but the club had a plan, another new idea for me which was absolutely inspired. While the dancers were gone, dancing to the 2 shortened songs for 1 price, the WAITRESSES got on stage and did mini dances. They didn't get naked but they definitely got hot with the pole and did some moves. This was the only point I did any serious tipping. Especially for that asian one. In fact, at one point, the asian and the ex-gf lookalike got up together and did some lesbian grinding/massaging. Even with the clothes on, that was HOT! I tossed so much cash up on that one that the asian came over after the fact and kissed me on the cheek.

The music was another issue. I value a good DJ; I once tipped a DJ in vegas $50 for doing an outstanding job. I like to hear a variety of good club music, rap, hip hop, r&b, rock - modern, rock - classic, house, techno, alternative and even metal. However, this guy was just a huge huge fan of 80-90s rock. That was almost all he played...At one point, I silently promised God that if he didn't play a song by a black artist, I would kill him. 1 song later, he played prince, prompting me to say to the Lord, "fair enough." I think a 50-cent song might have killed the guy. It was bad enough that it detracted from my non-dancing experience.

After 1 am, the DJ began a countdown to some sort of event. We quickly realized the event was going to be at 2 am but he wasn't clear to what was happening at that time. It wasn't closing the club but we could not figure out it was. Finally, I called over one of the bouncer/club dudes and asked him what was up. He explained that the alcohol had to stop at 2 by state law, so the party moves into the dance room. He said that the shows get raunchier and the dances go a little further, after the move too. I thanked him for the info.

Around 1:50 am, the waitresses started collecting drinks. The club dude came back and told us that, if we wanted good seats, we should move over to the dance room early, specifically at that point. We did, and the dance room was empty. We grabbed the best seats and relaxed. Like 5 minutes later, there was a mad rush and the place filled in seconds. We were lucky we moved when we did. I found that club dude and gave him a nice tip.

The dance room was MUCH smaller so things got a lot more personal. The girls did some circulating and "wanna dance?"ing, which allowed us to finally get some action. I got one dance from a black chick with an absolutely amazing ass. It was very nice, lasting slightly more than the song. The club dude was right...the girls did get rauchier. There were a couple of lesbian shows on stage and some stage/customer interaction not seen in the other room. We inquired how long the club stayed open and were told it went until people stopped buying dances, however late that went.

One other thing, we noticed that there were a few guys wearing bright, stupid-looking "underage" tshirts. Since we had a friend in the hotel, we inquired about buying him one of those shirts as a joke. However, we were told the shirts were $35. What we surmised is that the shirt is not only the shirt itself, but it is entry for a customer who is 18 and identifies him as not serveable of the alcohol. Our friend was not hapy to hear about this possibility. I am not sure on that, might want to check with the club, but I don't think you HAVE to leave your underage buddies back at home.

On the whole, the club was not a great experience. We didn't get to spend much, we couldn't have cocktails and didn't really get much in the way of company. The fact that the night didn't end at 2 was a plus and the waitresses on stage was inspired but that doesn't really save the Paper Moon from being a mediocre club.

Well, I went on a Saturday night. Just felt like getting a couple of lap dances. $15 cover charge! I almost didn't go in. When I got here they were doing a 2 for 1 couch dance. I ordered a soda. $6!!!! Wow. I was not very happy so far. The girls on stage were lackluster, the music was way too loud and the dj was unintelliglible. The chairs were so clse together that you could not walk without having to move them. The stage was very hard to see. The lights strobed the audience and barely even touched the stage...which was a blessing in most cases.

Then, to the rescue, Billy Jo. Tall curvy blonde. Talkative. She sat with me a while and then I got a few $20 couch dances. Good grind but fully clothed (not topless). Later, I got a dance from Heather, another blonde. Also talkative. She sat with me a while and then I got a $20 couch with her. It was hurried (she got called to the stage when we got on the couch).

I had a good time with Billy Jo and Heather. I enjoyed both conversations and both sets of dances. The club on the other hand has some work to do, in my opinion.

Went on a Sunday night at 8pm. This place is located in a warehouse area that is deserted at night. They had a well lit parking lot with the doorman keeping watch. Paid $10 cover and they put this silly wrist band on you. They had 5 girls ranging from 4 - 7. $6/beers Topless with pasties. One big round stage in the center of the room 2 smaller round stages on it's sides Got 2 Lap dances for $20 each in another room with booths. Got 2 for 1 lapdance but the price was not 2 for 1 actually $25 still not a bad deal. Just like the other reviews stated, the hustle is low. Dancers give plenty of light grinding and a little touching is allowed. Dancer has to wear undies and bootie shorts for LDs.
What I liked - good security in parking lot, nice looking place, good LD grind. What I didn't like - high beer price, girls could be prettier, fully clothed LD

$10 cover at night, $7/beer, 2 drink min but that's not enforced much. Topless with pasties. Nice stage in the center of the room with 3 poles. Very dark. They can have 3 girls dancing at a time when it is crowded. Small bar, and a few televisions throughout. Lap dances are done in another large room with booths, $20. Small VIP room off of this one at $125 for 15 minutes. Another larger VIP room upstairs that gives a little more privacy with translucent curtains but is also very well lit and everything is white. When busy, there's a 2 for 1 dance special occasionally. Dancer quality is high. The hustle is low. LDs generally include plenty of light grinding and a little touching is allowed. Dancer has to wear undies and bootie shorts for LDs.

Pretty decent place, was hopping 11:00 ish on a thursday night. Don't be scared off by the "pasties" label, unless you're a harcode nipple fan. THe pasties are usually hard to notice. Wide range of girls 5-8s. Upstairs dances @ $150 are advertised as "you can touch". I didn't get one. A $20 lap dance had no nudity, but a lot of hard grinding. Waitress service OK, dancers not too pushy. Aside from high dollar gentleman's club, this place is good. Decor tries to be upscale-like.

The Papermoon - Downtown is trying to cater to a more upscale class of people. They have improved employee attitudes, improved the physical appearance of the club but have failed to get dancers with good attitudes. Though you might get better looking dancers here, the attitudes of the dancers at the southside location is much better. I always feel that I am missing something if I do not make a visit to the downtown location, but each time I've been there in the past few months, I've felt that I would have had a better time at the southside location. OK, enough of my whining!!

The club has added a VIP ROOM for $150 for 20 minutes. They have done an EXCELLENT job with this place. It's very sensuous........red/black leather couches with white tansparent muslin curtains separating the couches. I was very tempted to bring this German dancer to the room, but decided against it as I wasn't getting enough mileage....she was gorgeous, talked the talk, but wouldn't walk the walk!! Maybe another day!!

Visited this club on 11/12. Paid a 12 buck cover, which doesn't seem that bad for a "classy" joint these days. The women are all 8-10s in my opinion. This is a club that supposedly pushes lap dances. I was there with a friend, we sat in a table away from the stage, and nobody asked us for a dance the entire night, which was a little disappointing. The only time we were approached was when the club does it's promotional 2 dance special, 2 dances for $30, as opposed to the regular $20 per dance. This is a bit of a scam in my opinion, mainly because you aren't getting 2 full dances. You're basically getting 1.5 dances for your 30. I am sure the club is taking a big cut of this which is why ALL the dancers go dance. I actually enjoyed watching one of the waitresses dance on the stage. I think the dancers are penalized for not getting a dance for that two for one special. My advice: if you like the girl, just buy 2 dances from her at the regular rate, she gets to keep more of the money herself that way.

Again, nice club, clean and orderly- but I felt we were ignored by the girls until the high-pressure special came around, so the attention felt a little false. I think the girls here should learn to circulate a little more.

Strong showing by the downtown Moon this past Saturday. They beat south side for the first time in recent memory. Southside was slow and just not happening; northside was bopping. Tons of chicks, most hotties, and just a generally more happening atmosphere. A busy crowd will do that. The PM clubs are back to their gouging ways -- cover is up to $12, and two-for-one dances are now $25. Hey Paper Moon management, a quick math lesson for you: if regular dances are $20, then two-for-$25 is not the same as 2-for-1, it's really 2-for-1-and-quarter. Obviously the fact that lap dances weren't selling except during the 2-for-1's finally had an impact, but that should cause you to lower prices, not raise them. (There's a free economics lesson to go with your math lesson.) And the $7 beers are still too steep for Richmond. Whatever, I keep going back, because it's the only game in town. The other non-Moon clubs are so pathetic.

I was in Richmond on business last week and went to this club. The girls for the most part were very attractive but I found the club to be a bit of a rip-off. The drinks were around 6 or 7 dollars. I got a $20 lap dance but contact was very limited. The club is nice but very restrictive. It is in an industrial area far away from downtown. If I go back to Richmond I will avoid not because the club is bad but because, from what I understand, Virginia is very strict as to what can go on in a strip club. I rate this club a 4 because of the non-touching lap dances.

Went to the Papermoon a few weeks ago while I was in Richmond. The girls were mostly very attractive and friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves. The contact in the lap dance ($20) was quite limited-not much and less than the other times I visted this place. It seems to vary each time I have been there. Perhaps it just the dancer that decides but I am not sure I like the atmosphere and will go again when I am in the area.

The club has its high periods and low periods, but we seem to be hitting a good stretch right now. The quality of the dancers has improved of late, and they have also been allowing a bit more touching during dances. Strong reviews for Nadia, Billie Jo, and Nina.

The club also was remodeled earlier this year. Both the back room and the main area are larger. It is usually very dark in the club. Also, they still offer the 2 for 1 dances every hour

I went there on a Friday for lunch. The place was so dark, you could not see the chairs. After our eyes adjusted, we sat down. They have a lunch "buffet". It turned out to be a platter full of sandwiches on a corner of the bar. It was free to get in but a soda was $6. The girls were mostly average. Couch dances were $20 a song.

I've never quite understood this strange dynamic between the two sister clubs. Whenever one club has great girls, great dancers, great music - the other lacks in exactly the same??!!!! Maybe it was just the long memorial day weekend......

I reached around 10.30pm and the house was about 40% full - a little unusual. There were about 10-15 girls, but not the regulars. The music just seemed completely out of beat and the dancers were very distracted. I had already ordered my drink, so was not about to get up and leave. I spent an hour before I decided to head to the the southside location (my regular haunt). I was avoiding this location as there is construction going on in the club.

I met "Naughty Nadia" - a huge breasted philly, who is generally very vivacious and truly has one of the best personalities in the club. But today she was a buzz-kill, as the owner had told her that she would be fined if she did not show up. Phoenix and Victoria were there and they always manage to cheer me up. They are both gorgeous dancers and one would not believe that Victoria has been dancing only for a few months. She has a great bod and is slowly toning it into shape.....her transformation from a not-so-suave to a hot-sexy-svelte occurred almost overnight. She has a great personality to go along and is definitely one of the most requested in the club.

I was there till 1.00 in the morning. I have never stayed for their mid-night sessions where they do close topless dancing - I guess that means no pasties??? I'll stay up one night and share.

Just a quick FYI......since the two are sister clubs you entrance fee at one is valid at the other - just don't rip the wristband off. I generally pay $12 at the southside location, however, since I went to the downtown location first , I paid only $10 for admittance to both.

I'm off to Las Vegas next week and will, hopefully......no will "definitely" have some good reviews to share.

Went there on a recent Wedneday evening to celebrate with 6 others. The club was relatively small with a mix of good lookers (7-9's) who were whilte and black. A couple of the ladies wee pushy looking for dances in the back room at $20 per. A weird set-up where they wear invisible pasties on the stage and the laps were topless with some grinding after the first dance but my hands had to remain virtually at my sides the whole time. This is not my style! The upside for whatever it was worth is that the girls for the most part had good personalities.....if that is your thing!

while the drinks are expensive, the girls are beautiful and friendly. definitely get a lap dance, and be sure to find the right girl and splurge on the $125 v.i.p. dance--it's worth the money for the fun!

Made a quick stop at the downtown Moon on a Friday afternoon. I spent some time talking with Astrid and then Rapture, a foxy girl of Brazilian descent. Rapture spent a lot of time pushing me to get a lapdance, but I wasn't feeling like spending a lot of time or money this afternoon, although it was tempting. She was flirty and fun, which I like, but eventually had to move on. Pretty strong rotation for an afternoon, at least 10-14 girls working. I slipped in around 4 and didn't have to pay a cover, but paid $7 each for a couple of Coronas. They were doing a 2-for-1 just as I arrived and got most of the 8 or so guys in there to participate.

This is a decent club, given the VA, and Richmond restrictions. There is one long stage in the middle with two girls dancing. All the seating is around the stage at three distances. I went on a Monday night(yesterday). There were a dozen or so girls there. Most were atractive. One was just my type. Really pretty face, nice boobs, nice big ass. After she got off stage, we went for the lap dances. One reviewer here said that the VIP was no different than the laps, but he aparently had the wrong girl. Despite having her bra on, the VIP dance was so hot that I had to have two! I only gave this club a 7 because VA sucks, and has unreasonable restrictions. But that said, if you are stuck in VA, this is the place to go. I like the layout and the atmosphere better than any other club I have been in. No one was pushy, but everyone was accomadating. Will certainly be there again, but have to be sure my girl is working.

This club is defintely one of the nicer clubs in town, but still is limited due to Richmond's requirements on all girls having to wear pasties. The girls are hot, but they spend much of their time with the regulars in the bar. Drink prices are not bad and on the weekends all three stages are running simulatenously.

I'm still not a big Paper moon downtown fan. I've always liked southside better. I stopped in this past Friday around 4:30, stayed for a beer and watched a couple of stage rotations. In the middle of the set they did a 2-for-1 lapdance, which most of the PL's in the place took them up on. I chatted with an attractive black girl, very tall and slim, who spoke so softly I could hardly hear her; she offered an LD in a very subtle way, but I had to be going, so I declined. Other than this girl, the dancers were just average on this afternoon, 5's or so. She was also the only one without an obvious boob job, and spoke as if she felt she needed one. They made me pay a $2.00 cover to get in -- that's a new one. Usually it's free before 6. The front desk guy was totally confused, I wonder if this was just a scam. Who cares, it's only $2. I tip more than that on one song.

I've only been to a single strip club in Richmond, but if this is the best they have to offer then the city is in trouble! This is the only place I've been where the dancers put on MORE clothes when you get a lap dance! And if you go into the VIP room, the dances are NO BETTER than when you get a normal lap dance.

The club is nice and roomy, clean and the lighting is about what you expect. The girls are not that friendly, and like to sit together in groups, and favor the locals. However, they're OK, and pretty enough. I enjoyed watching so I'm not rating the club that low. The lap dances were pretty good, with plenty of contact (but not the best kind) except that the girls put on ALL their clothes! You see much more just watching them on stage! They have to wear pasties, so I knew it couldn't be that great, but c'mon!

Drinks were reasonable by strip club standards, lap dances are in a separate room. Almost no one springs for the VIP room. Tipping dancers on the stage seems to be done by just throwing the money on the floor - the girls barely acknowledge the tips either, though it seems for most that that is their biggest source of income, as most guys I saw were not buying dances.

Oh well. I'm gled I don't live in Richmond.

This is by far the best club in Richmond. The southside location is excellent as well. The location of the downtown moon has been critisized by many but I liked it. It's in an industrial area, lots of manufacturing plants and construction sites, but I hardly saw anyone for blocks. So if discretion is an issue then this is a definite plus.
The best part is the girls are gorgeous. When I got there I went into the lefthand room where there was a cute blonde dancing on a smallish circular stage. I sat down and got a beer and in about 5 minutes I was approached by an older brunette. Lap dances are good. no touching allowed by the customers but dancers do a lot of arm and neck stroking. There isn't a lot of diversity in the dancers, mainly caucasian women. The clientel seemed to be half businessmen and half younger guys, some with their girlfriends. The dancers seemed happy in the environment and the ladies I encountered were all friendly (no attitudes). Highly reccomend.

Wednesday night and there were more dancers (15 or so) than customers between 8 and 10 o'clock. The dancers were generally 7-8's, but none that didn't belong there. The space is very nice with a round stage in the middle of a well designed, nicely lit room. I didn't stay long enough to get any dances, but I found the women to be quite pleasant and talkative. So I can't talk about the quality of the friction. The pastie thing is really quite silly. The girls wore nipple colored pasties that looked exactly like they were topless. I'd go back again, but mostly to talk and look.

I have been back to the Moon a couple of times since my last review. In general, the quality of the women is fairly mixed. Several of the good dancers are: Roxie, Anna, Summer, Annie, Vanilla, and Sherrie. The last two are absolutely incredible, and I would put them against any dancer out there. However, they are heading back home in October.

The club is decently clean and costs about $10 to get in. Syndee Steele was there recently. Laps are $20 each. Decent quality for Richmond with good contact, but the dancers wear bikinis.

I was in Richmond on business, and stopped by this club. I went with low expectations, having lived in Richmond in the past, and frequenting such places as the Playhouse Lounge in NJ and being a regular at Oasis and Club Risque in Philly. I was pleasantly surprised. While there is no where near the contact you get "up north", these southern belles were very friendly. I saw nothing of what a previous reviewer stated about the ladies being with their boyfriends and the like. I was there from around 9pm till midnite on a Wednesday. I found the lap dances sensual, and a better than expected grind from all four ladies that gave laps. The place was clean, and the drinks were moderately priced. The ladies ranged from a few 5's to 7's, but also I saw several 8's and borderline 9's. So all in all, better than expected. Hard core clubers would be disappointed because of the laws on touching, but not a bad diversion while in town.

As I live in Richmond, I go to the Paper Moon sometimes. This was my first visit in a couple of months, and it was quite disappointing. I went on a Friday night, and I only recognized one dancer (who wasn't that great). About 4 of the 10-15 who were working could be rated a 7 (maybe 8). The other ones were at best 5's. What made matters worse was that a lot of the dancers were spending time with boyfriends and the such, and were not very social for laps. No more topless laps - they are $20 a song, and I heard 1 2 for 1 special while there.

On a positive note, this club does bring in some good features (Briana Banks was here a couple of months ago). For Richmond, this club is ok, but nothing like other cities around the US.

WOW! This club becomes classier each time I visit it.

I visited last monday, just for drinks with a couple of buddies. The women were just awesome.....not for a monday night - even for a weekend night! I wonder what kind of women are turn up on the weekends?!!

The atmosphere is very classy for Richmond....you'll notice if you have visited the other clubs around. The ambience is great - does not have a sleazy feel. The clientele is good too - not the truckers frequented by most of the other clubs. MOST of the hostesses are great.

The dancers were just fantastic.....Sure, I haven't been to this club for 6-7 months, but I'm sure there weren't such gorgeous, friendly women on a monday night. I have a very tough time giving them an average below 8+.....there were some FANTASTIC women. The proximity to the nearby university might have something to do with this. The lap-dances are GREAT, They more than make up for the state regulated pasties. Great contact, Great experience! This club is a definite recommend.

The details - No hard liqour, pasties and a $10 cover. Great Lap-dances - The prices have fallen from $30 to $20 and the DJ was running 2 for 1's about every hour.

Great way to spend a week-day or weekend! I am definitely headed back to check out the treasures on the weekend!!

Stopped by on a Thursday night to watch a 9:00pm special show. First time here and was surprised by the high $10 cover. The club is located a warehouse district. The decor was good and women were above average. I counted around 10 girls that night just hanging out with regulars. At around 10:00pm the star attraction came out with her show. Wasn't very impressed. At least she gave me a autographed picture.

Not much on a week night but hot on a weekend. Most girls are 6-7 with a few 8 or maybe 9 if you have certain taste. Girls my be a bit forward at times to get dances but that in not unusual in this market. Location is hard to find but worth the effort.

Stopped in to Paper Moon because I was hungry and their "good" food was mentioned in a review. There were 9 girls there and 3 customers. The girls sat in clusters and, for the most part, were not enthusiastic on stage. With the exception of Roxy who danced with some sensuality (although she could smile a little).

I ordered a chicken sandwich. 12 bucks for a chicken sandwich and a soda! They were out of sides so it was only the sandwich (and they did not offer to cut the price any). The sandwich was VERY dry. I didn't finish it.

I was interested in getting a lap dance from Billy Jo. She was nice to me on previous visits when I wasn't the only customer. Well, she got off stage and went backstage. An hour later, I left and she still had not come back out. She wasn't there from an earlier shift because I got there when they opened. Guess she was not interested in making any money.

All in all a very poor experience. The only reason I do not rate it lower is because the girls are physically attractive.
