They are now open for lunch. No cover charge before 6pm. They've done some remodeling since I was there last. Very clean and comfortable. There are 3 different VIP rooms now. One room is $25 per song. Another room would be considered more of a champagne room where you buy a certain amount of time with a dancer (15,30, 60 minutes). The last was an overflow VIP area where they also did 2 for 1 dances at night. You could definitely relax in the VIP areas as there was no bouncer eyeballing you every 5 seconds. Girls were very friendly and didn't push for dances. The number of girls varies during the day between 2 and 6. It was ethnically mixed the day I was there with 2 black, 2 white, and 1 latin girl working so something for everyone. VIP dances provided a lot of contact and I was happy to tip a little extra on top of the usual dance prices.

This used to be a quality place years ago but after the shooting it just doesn't feel safe. The girls aren't what they used to be and ownership is just greedy; they haven't taken care of their staff at all. The value doesn't justify the cost and the trip doesn't justify the gas. I won't be coming back.

This place continues to be the premiere club in Winston. The girls are all pretty and the drinks reasonably priced. YMMV with the lap dances/VIP but as is usual once the girls start to know you they become more friendly

I stopped back in Paper Moon over the weekend. I hadn't been there in a few months and I wanted to see if things were any better there. It's still too pricey for Winston Salem ($10 cover - $25 VIP dances). There were a few good looking young girls there. But, it's still not like the old Excalibur was just a few years ago. Maybe I'm just getting old and bored with strip clubs. Or, maybe I just need a road trip to Myrtle Beach or Atlanta to check out some new clubs. It just seems to me that the strip club heyday has come and gone. Ten years ago it was more of a thrill to me to go to strip club. Maybe it was the Heavy Metal music of the era instead of the hip-hop they like to dance to now. Maybe it was the diversity of the dancers' fashions, like seeing nurses' outfits, leather outfits and more spiked heels and thigh boots back then instead of seeing them in all the same "cookie cutter" dresses and clear platform heels they all wear now. That's how I would say I remember the good ol' days in the strip clubs. When's the last time you ever even saw a good feature act perform at a club in Winston?
