Nice looking club on the inside, if a little heavy on the polished metal styling. The walls and ceiling kind of made me feel like I was inside one of those 80's style popcorn cooking bags, but if there had been any girls in stage I probably wouldn't have noticed. The club had just opened, and they only had two dancers dressed and on the floor. But still, that's two dancers dressed and on the floor and with a few customers in the place they could have fired up the stage. When I was over at Diamond Girls I was sitting at the bar alone with my beer and they put a girl on stage. Customer service isn't dead everywhere, but this place didn't earn a gold star the day I was there. The place had a pool table, also known as the top way to occupy one's time while waiting for things to pick. This is a personal thank you to the owner of this club by way of Monte the manager for the bizarre policy of not allowing staff to shoot pool if any customers are in the house. Now I'll grant you that if the place is busy, it's probably a good thing that your people aren't tying up the only pool table if customers are waiting. But let's reflect a moment on what the situation is if a customer has basically gone from asking the dancers, to the door guy, to the bouncer if they want to shoot a game...he is probably bored completely off his ass and wondering if something interesting is going to happen. The have these things called exceptions to the rule for times like this.

Savannah had joined me by then at a table near the front, where I had discovered a flattened can of Red Bull makes a pretty good ramp for launching quarters into ash trays. We had a pretty interesting chat and she did her best to entertain me since nothing else was going on (and I'd decided I wouldn't shoot pool with myself just on principle). Since she was taking the time to chat with me I'd contemplated getting a dance as a thank you or leaving her a reasonable tip, but she decided to talk down to me over something completely insignificant and that pretty much did it for me and this club. When a customer is clearly having a bad time, you can let him have a little fun at the club's expense. Since she hadn't realized she unintentionally offended me, I let it go and started thinking about what to do next. There was a blonde in an evening gown about three feet away who looked pretty good, but was more interested in smoking her cigarette and Jessica the waitress than introducing herself so I decided to find Southside Johnny's and didn't look back. I actually had a pretty good time at the Harper's II car wash around back before walking in here so it was a little puzzling how one place gets such high marks on customer service and the other is so clueless. They have different management. I asked. When I drove by again on the way from SSJ's out of town the parking lot had more cars so maybe at that point the club was actually open for business...

Recent visit was not too bad. The quality of the girls has improved and it is clear management is keeping the place clean and respectable. Still BYOB and they charge you to bring in your beer. Although all nude, the girls are prohibited to let loose and give you a real show. VIP couch dances are $25 and are not worth it IMO. There is a BP gas station next door where you can run out and buy beer to bring in to the club. However the gas station has jacked up the prices for beer because they know people are willing to pay for beer to bring to the strip club next door. This club is worth coming to once or twice a year.

I hadn't been to Harper's II for several years. I only went because Southside Johnnies for some reason was closed on a Saturday night. The previous reviews adequately describe the place. It is very attractive on the inside, unlike the Harper's in Winston-Salem. There is a big well lit stage. The girls do two numbers and are nude by the second. The amount of showmanship varies a lot with the girl. They all show their stuff, but one girl Saturday night would back away from the edge of the stage when approached with a tip, and would not let anyone stand down at the end of the runway where the patron is pretty much at eye level with a honeypot. She only let folks approach from the more elevated table area. She did about a 30 second show for her $1 dollar or whatever. Several of the dancers were very unenthusiastic and uninspired. A couple girls showed their athleticisim on the pole but several looked and acted bored.

The $10 table dances are with a g-string and topless. The very nice and nicely shaped black girl I had a couch dance in the VIP room with said that they could 'flash' in the VIP, but it too is topless and with a g-string. I must have missed what the earlier reviewer indicated is fully nude if they don't touch. The bouncer was at his little booth in the VIP room, and of all things, he had a tip jar that was seeded with a few bills. I can't imagine anyone actually tips the bouncer.

Admission on Saturday was $20 and that supposedly included a 3-month membership. I don't know what kind of break members get. Maybe I'll go back within three months and see.

Overall the girls were attractive and the place is nice. It's BYOB and $2.25/beer to bring your own. I left after an hour or so and headed to Winston Salem and the Harper's there that has much friendlier girls and a much more up-close show. Maybe I need to give Harper's II another shot to get a better feeling about it. It certainly is cheaper than Southside Johnnies.

OVERALL, A VERY ENTERTAINING CLUB WITH FULL NUDITY. I enjoyed it a lot.

LOCATION/ PARKING: The club is easy to find as it is just off I-40. The club has sufficient free parking.

SAFETY/ SECURITY: This is a safe club in a safe location. The customers seemed respectable, and the neighborhood seemed all right.

COVER: The club charges a $10 cover from Sunday through Wednesday nights, and a $20 (!!!) cover on Thursday through Saturday nights.

DRINKS: The club does not serve alcohol. However, customers are allowed to bring their own alcohol into the club. The club then charges customers to have the alcohol served to them. This costs $2.50 for a small beer and $5 for a large beer. If customers run out of alcohol, they are allowed to leave the club and return with more alcohol without being charged an additional admission fee. (There is a gas station next door that sells alcohol.) However, customers cannot take any alcohol that has not been consumed with them once they leave the club. The club also serves soft drinks, which cost $2.50 or so.

LAYOUT: There is one large stage, on which one girl dances at a time. There are a lot of tables with chairs around the club. There is a bar and a pool table. There is a VIP area in the back of the main seating area. There is also a private lap dance area (a separate room) where lap dances are performed. The inside of this area is not visible from the main seating area.

LIGHTING: The lighting was good. It was fairly easy to see the girls' bodies.

TIME OF VISIT: I attended on a slow Sunday night. I arrived at around 7:30 p.m. and left at 11:30 p.m. or so. There were very few customers. The club might be a lot better on weekend nights when there are a lot more customers (and, presumably, more girls).

ATMOSPHERE: The club provides a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and there is no pressure to tip or buy dances. The waitress did, however, ask me to put my shoes back on when I had removed them, which was a little obnoxious.

SERVICE: The service here is mediocre. The waitress did serve me my first two beers, but she then disappeared to play pool and never returned for the remainder of the evening. I had to get up to go to the bar several times to get my drinks refilled.

LEVEL OF NUDITY: THIS IS A FULLY NUDE CLUB; ALL GIRLS DANCE FULLY NUDE. Each girl dances a two song set: one song topless, and the second song totally nude.

STAGE DANCING: The stage dancing here is pretty good. The girls do put an effort into putting on a good performance and making it enjoyable to watch.

DIRTY DANCING: Overall, the dirty dancing here is not nearly as explicit as the dirty dancing at the other Harper's in Winston-Salem. Some of the girls did spread their legs apart when they were fully nude, but most didn't. Two of the girls rubbed their pussies with their fingers, but the others didn't. Several girls kissed one another and sucked on one another's boobs in exchange for $1 tips.

VALUE FOR $1 TIPS: The club provides a fairly good value in exchange for $1 tips. Several of the girls rubbed their bare boobs on my face, and one rubbed her ass on my face. Girl #1 put her pussy so close to my face that the pubic hair tickled my nose. There is also some dirty dancing (see dirty dancing section).

PRIVATE DANCES: There are two types of dances performed here. The FIRST type of dance is a private dance performed in the main seating area. This dance is topless only. There is no contact. The dance costs $10/song. The SECOND type of dance is a lap dance that is performed in the private back room area. This dance is topless only when the girl is touching the guy, and is fully nude when the girl is not touching the guy. The girls said that this dance is a grinding lap dance, with contact. However, although the girls can touch the guys, the guys can't touch the girls. This dance costs $25/ song.
