This club is where the legendary Gordon's club used to be...actually it now looks like some of the same dancers from back in the day are now here...I do mean back in the day...gordons closed down in 1998. This is not the great mix of clientele and entertainers that Gordons was. I stopped in with a group of the old gang and was very dissapointed. This place now caters mostly to the thug life crowd. If that's your thing then you may enjoy it. My group, even though we grew up in this area, are now mature businessmen and we were all very uncomfortable here. We will check it out again in a few weeks, maybe we picked a bad night. I'll post another review then.

Went Thursday night 05/05/05 - About 8:30 PM. Good Po: The girls are friendly, professional, and decent looking. There is one bouncer whose job it is to get the girls with the guys, but he can be backed off. There were maybe 6 customers in there and either 3 or 4 girls (all black girls..which is great from where I sit)....I also saw two Latinas leave just as I was going in (pity). Maybe it was because I was the only guy in there that looked like he had any cash, everyone in there was paying extra attention to wherever I happened to be standing. My dancer (Jennifer) would have hung upside-down from the ceiling to make me happy. 30 minutes with one dancer that night was a flat $60 ($20 to my friend the bouncer, $40 to the girl) ...I also gave the girl a few bucks extra. The place is small enough to be intimate and well-controlled but not large enough to hold a very large crowd (both are good things). Bad Points: I would have wanted to see 7 or 8 dancers in there rather than the number that were there. The neighborhood is very very very mediocre so I kept my 'Trep parked right accross the street. I was somewhat amused when the bouncer went to frisk me, then simply said "Ah forget it go ahead in"....I guess I don't look too much like a Ganster, or Gansta....If you keep your eyes open, don't say anything stupid (Thanks Han) and you like the available talent, you'll have a good time in there.

If you like ghetto ass clubs this is a winner. Not that there's anything wrong with ghetto ass clubs. Really. It's safe enough, and there are some definitely dime pieces in there. Of course you'll have to sort through some big mamas, but none of the girls are too ugly or anything. And, being a ghetto ass club, the backroom dances can be more than you might expect. Althought since they were already shut down once for soliciting, be careful. The sound system is good though and the drinks aren't watery, and if you go before there's a cover it is well worth it. ten dollar wall dances which usually last about two songs, and 25 dollar backroom dances which last about three songs. Friday and Saturdays after 11 it is packed with too many dudes.
