Repeat customer, but it had been several years since I had been there. Informed by dancer that they were under new ownership, and things had "changed". Couldn't really tell too much difference though. One dancer gave some good dances in the upstairs area and didn't mind talking without too much pressure. Required an additional cover charge to get upstairs (one time, good all night). Dancer indicated after dancing that if you tip the bouncer on the way up, then they will allow additional contact between you and the dancer. Didn't take advantage of that though.

Wow, this place has changed a bit. I havent seen one on my regulars in a while. Still a good place, small though, but you can have "fun" up stairs. I have not tried a champagne room, maybe that is the way to go. Not sure. Lot of regular guys around it seemed, talking to the girls. Drinks were okay, would have liked some more specials aroun hard liquor. All in all I think I might need to check out flight club and then come back here to compare the bang for the buck.

The Landing Strip is located in Romulus, a short hike from the airport. It's in a little downtownish area with street parking (for those too cheap to use the valet). You walk in the backdoor, pay the admission ($10!!) and walk up a flight of stairs into the club.

Like the Play House, it's a pretty small club - just one room, with a large stage in the center and tables circled around it. There is a bar on one side of the room, with typical strip club bar prices. The waitstaff was very nice and the drinks were generous on liquor.

There were about 6 or 7 girls circling around and dancing. None that really caught my attention and most were pretty busy with regulars most of the time. All skinny spinner-types. The DJ played absolutely horrible music and the dancers were visibly annoyed on stage.

Eventually, I did get a dance from a cute brunette. The VIP room is mostly an open area with black leather couches (no VIP fee!). Dances were nice but pretty restrictive with very little mileage (they just got busted in december). The DJ's songs all blended into each other and it was hard to tell when one song ended and the next started. Either way, they weren't the full songs - they were cut short at about 2 or 3 minutes.

After a few dances (which I had to confirm the # of songs with the dancer) I went on my way. I had a good time but probably won't go back - it's out of my way and too expensive for a few 2 minute dances. There are lots of clubs in metro Detroit that are cheaper and have longer dances.

What can I say I was in the club on Friday at around 1:00 pm for lunch and a few dances before my flight and what a disappointment. In the days of old this was a great club now it is a more expensive version of the local neighborhood bar with less talent. I sat at the bar as I usually do and struck up a conversation with a dancer that was ordering her lunch. The bartender was very attentive and got my order in quickly and my drink was never empty. The bad news was only a few in the place and the hottest one was a customer. I would have gotten a few dances anyway but no one came by to even make it possible to get one.

My conclusion is that this bar is a cleaner version of Bogart’s that cost more money. I will stick to the Flight Club or Playhouse for my preflight entertainment from now on. On a positive the burger was good and the service friendly.
