Club Venus is located on the border of Detroit & Dearborn. It's next to a shady roach motel. You pay the parking guy $2 to make sure your car isn't stolen and there is a $5 admission fee. Place is smallish - two rooms - stage on one side with tables and bar on the other side. Drink prices were reasonable. Apparently, they have food too.

Dancers were on the bigger side, if that's your thing. If it's not your thing then this is not your place. There were a few smaller dancers but they were all sitting in the corner staring at customers.

I'm not sure if it's like this all the time but the dancers made it pretty clear that *everything* was on the plate. Had a VIP dance - enjoyed the dance but didn't partake in any extras. Dances were $20 a pop ($10 on Tuesdays).

I'm going to stay away from this place for a while - it seems too ripe for a vice bust, especially given the Detroit police's recent busts. I'll probably go back if I hear word of it being cleaned up and not so obvious about extras because it's the best place for the bigger girls in Metro Detroit.

Havent went in a while, so I thought I would see what is new at the club. MAN! nasty.nasty.nasty. I guess if you are into large girls its okay, but I was not turned on at all. Girls would stop by without much pressure for the dances (thank god).The drinks are cheap and the action looks pretty good in the VIP area, but no thanks. I had a drink then bailed. Unless the reviews get better for this place I doubt I will be back.

I have been there twice during the day after about a year. Most of the old gals are gone. Early this week when I was there, they had about 7 dancers, only one black. About have were thick, but have were not. Carla the bartender will give you some good hints if you tip her good. Still $5 VIP band $20 dances, although $10 on Tuesday during day.Drinks still relatively cheap compared with most clubs, especialy draught beer. They were running $4 pitchers while I was there, made me wish I was a beer drinker.

The new girls I talked to came from the Duchess or LaChambre. VIP room still had a full menu, although some girls definitely have a larger menu.

This place keeps getting darker and darker. No big deal if you're into that. Drinks are still $7.50 for a bucket and they can sell shots like crazy in this place. There's still plenty of fun to be had here, but with a lot of the old girls that used to be "as good as it gets for Venus" gone it's a whole new game. Take that into account when you read some of the old reviews. I'll be back though.
