stopped in last friday night and had a really good time, the girls were very nice looking and very friendly, overall a very good experience, spent a little over 100 dollars and i do not regret it one bit. didn"t know clubs like that exsisted in maine gotta like the contact i will be going back real soon!

It's 2 AM, at the moment, and I've just got home from my first visit to Steppin' Out, in North Jay, Maine, on a Thursday night in mid-July, 2006. I'll be returning to the club tonight (Friday) and will add another review comparing the two nights. From what I've heard, Friday night is somewhat busier at this club than either Thursday or Saturday. Tonight, when the show began at 9 PM, there were only perhaps ten patrons, but at the peak of the evening, the number had swelled to about thirty. The club is very nicely laid out. There is a bar near the entrance, a couple of pool tables, a couple of electronic game machines, tables and chair ensembles ranging in capacity from two to about ten, a small stage from where the DJ operated, and a dance floor perhaps 20 ft. square. The lighting was pleasing and bright enough to provide enough visibility to permit effective viewing of the performers. The sound level was appropriate. The men's room was clean and relatively odor free.

I was impressed with the conscientiousness of the bartender (not to mention his friendliness). There was one sign urging patrons to drink responsibility and another indicating that no one would be admitted who was already obviously intoxicated. When I explained to the bartender that I would be drinking mostly ginger ale because I had a fifty mile trip home at the end of the evening, he started to explain the maximum one drink per hour guideline until I told him that my profession happens to be teaching about alcohol and other drugs. Clearly, Steppin' Out is not one of those establishments that place their patrons at risk by pushing drinks for maximum sales.

The show, provided by a Maine-based outfit called "Bodies in Motion" (BIM), ran in three segments, from 9 PM-1 AM. As a preamble, the DJ (Dwayne) explained concisely the rules of contact between customers and the dancers: touching of breasts and nipples was permitted but touching of the crotch area, front or back, was prohibited. Patrons were also reminded not to extend their tongues despite what would be obvious temptations to do so. Then, each of the eight female performers in turn provided an introductory dance. After emerging from the dressing room in a colorful costume, the dancer would chose a man from the audience and direct him to the solitary chair on the dance floor, where the dancer then performed a short lap dance. Next, the man was guided into a prone position on the dance floor, face up. The dancer then performed an abbreviated floor dance for the happy "victim."

The first dancer to appear was Cassidy, the only one of the dancers that I had previously seen and my favorite on that other occasion. She was dressed as a Persian slave girl, in an attractive wispy white outfit. Cassidy is a blond with lovely pear-shaped, mid-sized breasts and medium bone structure. KC, a lovely, sleek blond, appeared next, in what I would call a neon-orange outfit, with leg lacings. She was very pretty, with pleasingly tanned skin and a tight, slender torso. The third gal, Treasure, appeared wearing spotted, bleached jeans and a halter top. Treasure, a brunette and probably of some kind of Mediterranean ethnicity, had the body of a sixteen-year-old, though I later learned that she is more than a decade older than that (I wouldn't presume to reveal the lady's exact age on the internet). Her breasts were smallish, but perfectly so, by my taste (which, for breasts, ranges from smallish to midsize). The fourth girl to make an appearance was Tonya, dressed as what I suppose was a farm girl, ready for a roll in the hay. She had larger breasts than the preceding ladies and a larger pelvis, but was still plenty agile enough to do a shoulder stand on her customer's legs during the lap dance. Next out was Alexis, dressed as a nurse. Alexis, also a busty lady, sported light brown hair with blond highlights, done up in twin side ponytails. She wore blue pants with cutaways and a bright red halter. The sixth lady was Dahvin, dressed naughtily as a school girl with a lollypop. Looking somewhat like Treasure but taller, Dahvin had a taut, youthful looking body, with beautifully matched breast size, long strands of dark hair, and the kind of tight caboose that men die for. The penultimate dancer to appear was Carmel, dressed as a dominatrix and fairly convincing in the role. She was the largest of the women, both in height and bust size. Among her pleasing assets were a lovely mocha skin color and a pretty face. Then, the final dancer, Ivy, came out dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood. Ivy was a gorgeous, blond with an athletic build, a high energy performance style, a sultry countenance, and an absolutely awesome butt. By this time, it was quite evident to me that all the men in the audience were in for a festive evening.

In the second segment of the program, the eight young women emerged in thongs and halter combinations, offering lap dances (at a minimum of $2) or floor dances (at $5 for half a song or $10 for a whole song). After a while, the halters drifted away. This being my second experience with the BIM system, I managed my monetary assets somewhat more effectively than on the first occasion. I had one pocket stuffed with fives, for lap dances, and another with twenties, for floor dances. Although the minimum for a lap dance is only $2, I'm happy to pay the gals $5. They certainly earn it. Although floor dances cost only $5 or $10 during this middle part of the program, I decided to save my floor dance allowance for the third segment (during which time they cost $10 for half a song or $20 for a full song), after the thongs come off. I purchased a total of 15 lap dances, mostly from the five women best matched to my particular taste, and 5-6 floor dances, from three of the women. The three other women that I had least interest in received plenty of action from other patrons (another example of various men having radically different tastes in women). One nice feature of the Steppin' Out venue is that the floor space is quite open, allowing plenty of opportunity for voyeurism between one's own dances. By first watching the gals perform floor dances for other men, I was able to prioritize better which ones I wanted to line up later for myself. I was also surprised to learn something I hadn't anticipated about these performances. There's a real art to giving a good lap dance or floor dance. I began to discover that the girls who give the best floor dances might not be the same as the girls who gives the best lap dances. Furthermore, the best at floor dancing or lap dancing might not also be the most beautiful. Dahvin had an amazing talent for the floor dances and Ivy was exceptional as well. I find that the girls with the tight, little pelvises are especially wonderful for the floor dances because the pussy views are more intimately revealing. For the lap dances, Cassidy, Treasure, and Ivy were most to my liking. Ivy and KC were my co-favorites based purely on visual beauty, but Cassidy, Dahvin, and Treasure were all very lovely creatures as well. I felt that KC had less enthusiasm for dancing with me than for some of the other men. I didn't give three of the girls a fair chance to show me their skills, so for all I know, they might be excellent as well. On appearance alone, I'd rate three of the eight gals at 9-10, two at 8, one at 7, and two at 5-6. It seems crass to engage in that kind of rating, but that's part of what readers of a review like this want to know. These ladies also smell great, by the way. I think most of these girls use either a light coating of body oil or body powder on their skin to facilitate comfortable stroking.

I spent close to $200 for the evening, but it was well worth it. When one considers that the Champagne Room at Platinum Plus costs $220 for the room alone plus $200-$500 for the companion, without providing nearly the same level of contact, one truly has to appreciate the value provided by BIM. Compared to the other public BIM venue (Diconzo's in Rumford), Steppin' Out provided a much nicer atmosphere, a larger audience, a larger selection of dancers, and a higher quality of dancers, overall. My five favorites at Steppin' Out were comparable in beauty, overall, to my two favorites at Diconzo's. Not only was the quality of the women very good, but also the variety. All in all, my experience at Steppin' Out was a wonderful night of entertainment – as enjoyable as any evening of entertainment that I can recall. This was the best "strip club" experience that I've had so far.

Even the drive to and fro was delightful. Although it was fifty-one miles each way, it was wooded, back roads for me. I made the round trip without getting behind a single car going in my direction and only passed about a half-dozen traveling the other direction. I encountered no traffic lights and only one stop sign. I saw two wild turkeys on the way and a fox and two skunks (one dead and one living) on the return home. At Steppin' Out, however, I saw and cuddled with five of the foxiest and charming ladies I could ever wish to encounter! Bravo!

Gotta give a high rating to any place that lets you caress the bare breasts of many many truly beautiful women, but for some reason this place isn't very satisfying. Even the $1 dances go so quickly that the money flies out of your hands without ever having gotten any action going.

If you like hands on dancing, this is the place for you. It's not only allowed, it's encouraged. But slapping, pinching or twisting will earn you an early exit. Min.($10) cover is well worth the show. Drinks are resonable. If you go once, you'll go again.
