For someone used to American clubs, this was an interesting experience, despite the fact the club labels itself as an "American-style Table Dance club".

Its in a shady section of West Berlin, where sex clubs abound. I got the impression, at least here in Berlin, American-style strip-clubs are considered too lightweight. An internet search of the other clubs listed in the magazine in my hotel showed them to all essentially be brothels - which is not my thing. So I went for the "american" club.

The club doesn't open until 9 or 10pm. I went in on a Sunday night about half an hour after opening. 10 Euros to get in, for which you get 4 or 5 "dollars" for tipping the dancers. I walked into the long, thin room, and found myself the only customer, along with one barmaid, and two or three dancers. The entire room is probably only 8-10 feet wide, half of which is taken up by the bar which doubles as the stage. The dancers danced along the length of the bar, having to navigate carefully around a pillar to avoid falling off the bar. I had one drink, tipped the two dancers twice each... once on removing their top, the other on removing the bottom, and then headed out.

I decided it was worth another look at a better time, so went in about midnight a few days later. The same set up, but now the place was packed with customers (which means, maybe 20 or 30 at most), and about 5 or 6 very attractive dancers. I watched the dancers do their thing, had a few beers, and eventually got a seat at the bar. As the dancers came around to collect their tips, they would squat or kneel in front of you. It seemed the norm to place your dollar tip between your teeth, and lean forward into either the dancer's cleavage or between her legs so she could use her body to retrieve the tip from you. So, I joined the fun.
I had to buy more dollars - I think I got 6 more for another 10 Euros.

Most of the dancers seemed to hang out together in a bunch when not dancing, but after a while, a tall brunette approached me. We overcame the language barrier pretty quickly, and she then bluntly asked "do you want to have sex?" Given what I'd seen so far in my time here (and the expectation of an "American club" I was somewhat surprised... although given what else went on in the rest of the neighborhood, I shouldn't have been.

We talked for a little longer, and got the message across that I was really looking for an American-style lap dance, but nothing more. She was, naturally, disappointed, but said that could be arranged. It cost 40 Euros for 15 mins, which seemed a good deal in comparison to most east coast US clubs. We went to a private room near the front of the club - it had room at accomodate 2 or 3 couples, but we were the only ones there. She stripped pretty quickly, but then kept her amazing body just out of reach. The only contact was when she sat in front of me and instructed me to undo her bra clip. Unfortunately, esp being from frustrated, no-lap-dances-here Boston, my "American lap dance" turned into a Boston private dance - aka an air-dance. She had a great body, and maybe I should have tried to renegotiate for some common ground between these two extremes... but it was late and I had to be up early for work. So I quit while I was not broke.

Who knows what one can actually negotiate in private rooms in this club. It gets marks for low prices and attractive girls, loses marks for the cramped layout, and the lack on interaction with other girls. But, if you're in Berlin, its worth a look.

I visited this place last Friday night while in Berlin. It is what they call a "table dance" place. It is 10 euros to enter, and this included 1 beverage. They had about 13 to 15 girls there. They dance along the top of the bar, which is long but only 3 feet wide. More walking than dancing due to the narrow width of the bar. The place is long but not wide. Most seating is at the bar, or the back wall just nearby. Fortunately I arrived shortly after opening, as it got crowded fairly fast. The girls dance nude, but only for the last 20 or 30 seconds of the 2 song set. Several of the girls were very attractive (8 or 9) but others were 3 or 4. Only 2 of the 5 girls that approached me spoke english. I did not get a private dance since the more attractive girls either did not approach me or did not speak any english if they did. For me it ended up being a good place to sit and watch a little full nudity with some very attractive girls. I understand that private dances start at 45 euros, but could not really determine what theat entailed.
