best bang 4 your buck. no cover,,,great girls, great atmosphere..high contact laps. all around good. Might not want 2 roll alone at this one. This is not a high end gentlemens club but a good local spot for the regular man. My kind of place. Bring lots of money and expect to buy at least 2 drinks so that you don't get harassed by security and bartenders so that you have a good time. What I like is that the girls are mostly friendly and enjoy dancing there. I give it a 8 only because the space is a little tight in there to move around without bumping into everyone that walks by.

A black club where I (a middle-aged white guy) felt VERY unwelcome. It wasn’t threatening, it was just exclusionary. Like no matter how long I hung out at the bar and drank beers and tipped bartenders and dancers, I was not going to get any attention or any action. Unlike Angels in North Miami (see my review), where I was approached by several dancers and was welcomed when I approached any of the others, I could barely get eye contact with any dancers at The Mint. Patrons also looked right thru or past me like I didn’t exist. I spent an hour there and was the only white in the place.

The club is on dead end side street off a main road with a huge neon sign so you can’t miss it. Its also across from a very large Police facility. Very unusual, but made me feel safer going in. I went on a Tsdy night and the parking lot in the back was almost full, probably 50 cars. Some very upscale with rims, ground effects, etc.

There was a group of 10 or so guys hanging around the front door looking at a selection of CD’s being offered for sale. They were clearly surprised to see a white guy stroll up. One guy let out a “whoa, look at this”.

You get frisked at the entry (which I appreciate for safety). Then you step right into the main room. It’s a small crowded place with a lot of people enjoying themselves, which gives it a great vitality. U shaped bar with a long dance floor w/ 2 poles. The music is not painfully loud and the lighting is appropriately low. There’s no place to do Lap dances but there were plenty of girls doing topless dances for guys who were either standing against a wall or sitting on one of the bar stools. I never saw any money change hands and the guys seemed not to be paying much attention to the girls as they danced. I wasn’t sure exactly what was going on with that but there was a lot of it happening.

They also have a small side room off the main room with a corner bar and a small square stage on one wall. It has 2 black vinyl couches and I did see a guy in a suit and tie getting a Lap dance that lasted at least 10 songs. It is much more brightly lit than the main space and I would have felt a little uncomfortable having a LD there. There is a sign in the main room above the door to the bathrooms that says “VIP” but I didn’t see where that would have led. Maybe there is a secret door to a special room but I didn’t see it.

There were about 40 girls there on a Tsdy at about midnight. They ranged from 5-9. No real dogs or skanks or overly heavy mamas. A couple of very pretty slender girls that I would have liked to get more intimate with, but couldn’t get their attention and didn’t know where we would go for that intimacy even if I did. Songs were pretty long so I was ready for some LD action. I’m used to a pattern where when you see a girl you fancy you make eye contact, she picks up on your interest and comes over to engage you in conversation. I tried that about 20 times and no one ever responded. I didn’t see anyone else doing it either. I just seemed like people already knew each other and hooked up without the standard ceremony. And it may have been that they just don’t encourage white guys to participate in the scene. Maybe they thought I was LE. Anyway, it was a bit like being an anthropologist in a new culture that I could not be part of.

The dancers on the main room stage do 3 songs and get nude. They got a lot of tip $ either handed to them or wadded up and thrown at them. Often the customers were handing them 3 or 4 singles at a time even though there was no way to get any contact for your tip. Maybe this is why they aren’t particularly hungry for private dance $.

I’m sure there is a whole social ecosystem and economy going on at The Mint that I just couldn’t figure out. I’d appreciate any explanation that other mongers might provide. I’d like to try it again because there were some very fine women there with nice bodies.


If you like big girls this is the place for you. There are two bars with stage at both, most of the girls are friendly just either thick or Fat. Drinks are priced reasonably, please note that the club is behind the Wachovia bank. Lap dances are quailty and the girls really know how to dance just remember that they are big.
