Since Christmas, all my visits to clubs in the London area have been
nowhere near as good as before. I have noticed a distinct lack of
contact between the dancers and the punters.
At first I put this down to being a bad night but then I noticed that
at least one club had removed it's nice sofas and replaced them with
quite normal chairs which makes it difficult if not impossible for a
dancer to drape herself all over you.
But a visit this week to what has to be the best club in the UK
confirmed my fears.
Speaking with some of the staff, it would appear that the local
councils are being silly when granting licences. Instead of being lap
dancing clubs, these places are now table dancing clubs. The
difference? With table dancing, there is no contact allowed.
So far, this only seems to have affected the London area but one can
only guess if it will hit the rest of the UK but either way it's a
sad state of affairs. Even the girls have admitted that they don't
like the new rules.
