I am glad no one was hurt. I can't say I am sad it burned down. JP's was in desperate place need of a make over and a talent overhaul.
Mike may have been a "one of a kind owner" but he also was a one of kind employer--Fat ugly girls who should not be dancing anymore.
Mike-your first purcahse at the new club should be a MIRROR and a SCALE!
PLease please ease please re-do this club the right way and hire some talent!!!! With this location, this place should be a gold mine!!!..

JP's burned to the ground last night (January 21, 2008) after closing. The owner was in a third floor room he keeps for himself, but escaped unharmed by climbing onto the roof of an adjacent building. He plans to re-build, so it looks like the club will get one more re-modeling after all.
My guess is that Good Guys will get a big influx of dancers soon, along with a few other clubs. A lot of the day girls weren't really employable at other clubs, but they still had a number of really good looking night girls last time I was in at night.
Best club I've worked for in the last few years of hoping around. Everyone was so friendly and got along, music was too loud but I loved the atmosphere. It was a sad day today to see it surrounded by firefighters as the place had burned down.
Club will be closed for an estimated time of 3 months according to project managers who plan on rebuilding the place. But I'm guessing that it's more looking like 6 months at least.
Good luck to the girls that worked there. Good luck to Mike & rebuilding the place, he was a one of a kind owner.
My first time at JP's is stop number 2 out of 3 during my lunch time DC strip club tour. They're open for lunch Monday-Thursday, starting at like 11:30am I believe. I didn't stare too long as the club hours from outside but someone may want to do that sometime to update the club details for this forum. I personally did not enjoy JP's. The 4 girls I saw there weren't hot. 2 black, 2 white, 0 that would turn my eye on the street. It's a small bar downstairs but it looked like there's an upstairs for when it's busy. I didn't stay long and don't plan on returning.
