Stopped in to see if this club improved since I was there about one year ago. The club has gotten worse. No a/c on a hot night - couple of fans. A banner on the far wall that said Gentlemens" Club - what a laugh. Two dancers that did not circulate looking for LD's. Had a beer and left. Supposedly this is a sister club to Electric Blue in Tolland. Don't waste your time here. Head for the Blue and enjoy.

Descent local place on a main highway. They say Willimantic is a tough town, but looks reasonably safe to me. About what you would expect from this type of place. A few dancers, friendly bartenders. Nothing too exciting, but a descent place to go for a drink or two and a view. If you are looking for a more "blonde and silicon" place, stick with EB. Note, I think they are not opened during the day.

Stopped in about 9pm on a Wednesday night; paid cover charge of $1. First time here. About six dancers in the 4-6 category; about eight customers. Was told club gets busy about 10:30 but there were fewer customers then earlier. One girl came over to talk and disappeared shortly thereafter to do a stage dance and talk to regulars. Had a couple LD's in a small area in a corner of the bar with lattice work around the area; kinda semi-private but you can be seen at certain angles when people going by. LD's were OK but girl selection was not great. Overall I wasn't impressed.

I decided to check this place out a couple weeks ago. Arriving around dinnertime on a Saturday, I was amazed to discover that the bartender and I were the only people in the place. She explained that while the club opens around 4:00 in the afternoon, it doesn’t really get going until between 7:00 and 9:00. I returned a couple weeks later around 10:00 on a Saturday, just to ensure I wouldn’t be the only patron. No cover charge, which I appreciated.

I have to agree with MikeyC that this club really is kind of an “Electric Blue Junior.” As you enter the club, the bar and lap dance area are on the left. The rectangular stage area on the right is really more of a wooden boundary to separate you from the dancer. I didn’t see a champagne room, though the small bathroom is in view of some of the patrons when the door opens. Like the Blue, the walls are covered in mirrors, and it has a similar vibe to the bigger club up the road. A draft Sam Adams cost me $4.50 plus tip, and I didn’t partake in shots.

There were about thirty people in the club, along with about four dancers alternating on stage. The music was deafening, particularly with the speakers so close to the stage. This is a topless club, though the dancers will usually push the g-strings aside for a better look. Miami, an older blonde dancer, explained that they’d had a lingerie party the night before, and it wasn’t as crowded that night. Her lap dance offered good one-way contact, though I was disappointed that she didn’t turn around to let me see more of what I was groping. I noticed similar levels of contact going on next to me, and I missed the privacy of the larger club. There’s a video jukebox on the walls, though the dancers didn’t ask the “gottadollar” question you hear at the Blue.

For me this club gets an average review with a markup for one particular incident. One petite dancer gave an all-too-enthusiastic stage dance, actually knocking my glass off the bar. (Thank goodness it was empty.) She then got into a heated lesbian session with another dancer. It’s always good to see a close-up view of two dancers going at it with their g-strings down.

Like the Electric Blue of old, Ultra Violet basically feels like a neighborhood bar with dancers. Unfortunately it’s only convenient for locals and people traveling on Route 6. It’s not a destination club at all, and the mileage here is less than in its big brother. While it certainly offers more contact that many other area clubs, there are better options up the road.
