Kittens is a fantastic club to visit for a customer but I wouldn't say in my opinion the best club for a dancer to work at. Kittens is fantastic in the sense of what it offers. Touching is allowed between the customer and the dancer which definitely increases the whole strip club experience.
The club interior is very stylish and comfortable. The stage is well lit and the girls are very well able to be seen. Kittens is also located out of the city so is easier to access in the terms of parking etc. Also good if you are coming from the suburbs. Kittens is also located in Frankston.
Like most Melbourne clubs, Kittens is full nude.
The night that I visited, the music was good with the DJ playing a mix of rock and the usual clubby stuff. The girls were very friendly and mostly very attractive. Some in my opinion however weren't as attractive as the majority of the girls working in the city clubs.
Overall. good club. Check it out!
My experience at Kittens was extrodinary to say the least. Kittens is the only chain of touching clubs in Melbourne, with clubs located in Frankston and Caulfield. I have been to both of these two clubs and both were very different. Caulfield had a lot better looking girls and the club experience was a lot classier. Although the Caulfield club was not as classy as Melbourne's other strip club venues such as bar 20, compared to the Frankston club Caulfield was really classy. The girls in Frankston weren't as attractive and looked 'cheaper' than the caulfield girls. It was a fantastic experience though. We got to touch the girls as they danced and some girls even allowed me to suck their nipples, although I'm not sure if that was officially allowed ;-). The club is also fully nude as all the clubs are in melbourne, however not as 'full on" as the clubs seem to be on the gold coast.
This club did have a big range of girls. Some of the girls were absolutely HOT and some not so much but that didn't really matter as all had really great bodies. Also, some of the girls became annoying with theor over hustling and just trying to get money out of us. Overall great experience! Also, the caulfield club is really easy to get to via public transport on either the frankston, cranbourne or pakenham connex train lines and only takes about 15-20 mins from the city plus a five min walk which is great if you're drinking but too tight to pay for a taxi!
Not a bad club but I wont be working there again as it allows "controlled touching" which means that the customer is allowed to touch you pretty much anywhere above the waist... That on it's own isn't bad but there are a lot of clubs here in Melbourne that don't allow any touching of body and still allow you to earn decent money.
This club has expanded recently, with new outlets in Franskston (crn Davey St & Nepean Hwy) and in South Melbourne (68 Cecil St); the one in Caulfield is still active too. I haven't been to the new ones, but from the website (www.kittens.com.au) they look like larger places than the smallish Caulfield club. The Caulfield club still has some nice looking women working here, with decent private dances in a backroom (sometimes when busy there can be quite a wait even to get in there though). One French-Vietnamese woman working here way outclassed the others, with exquisite dancing, a perfect body, and a winning personality--almost too professional, but oh so sweet! And her private dances were pretty generous as well.
The main problem with this club is its small size, and the lack of ventilation makes it sometimes unbearably smoky for a non-smoker like myself. I will never understand how smoking is still supposed to be 'cool'. Anyway, on a weekend late at night this place can be a real tight squeeze (and squeezing past other male patrons in a standing-room-only situation isn't my idea of fun at a strip club). Also, the mafia-style thuggish bouncers at the door fail to lend further charm to the place!
This is, in my opinion, Melbourne's best strip club--for a few reasons. For one, it is more relaxed than the downtown clubs: girls get a chance to talk to the clients before soliciting dances from them--which always makes for a more personal experience. Plus, private dances happen in a back room, and I have had some very generous dances from a few of the ladies (there are a few here who are as gorgeous and professional as you would find anywhere). The downside of the place is that it is very small and can get too crowded--especially on weekend nights--and too smoky. Why does everyone in these places still smoke? Still, I think it beats the hype and big business vibe of the downtown Melbourne clubs.
Having spent hundreds of hours at clubs in Melbourne's CBD (notably The Men's Gallery for quite a few years), I can say that my first visit to Kittens was, put simply, awesome.
The club is small and about 20 minutes from the CBD, but easy in a taxi with a few mates. It's on the street in a commercial shopping strip (no pun intended).
The club is quite small, not much bigger than the size of the smaller front room at the Men's Gallery or about as big as a couple of big household loungerooms. Only about 10-12 girls working on the Wednesday night our group visited, but no room really for any more.
However, the services offered by the girls goes far beyond the clubs in the CBD, much less restrictive in terms of touching/wandering hands, much more "full-on" laptop dancing as it used to be in Melbourne before the rules were officially changed. Dance quality: 10/10.
Expect to spend $50 per dance, but know that you get much more value for that money than other table-top venues in Melbourne! The 'greeting' the girls give as the walk around amongst the patrons is quite intimate. And the lesbian show at midnight ... now that was something to talk about! (not performed by the girls that were dancing, but we guess they would have just appeared for the act and then disappeared again)
Drinks were about the same price as other "men's clubs", not too over the top, as they want you to keep coming back for more. Am preparing to go back again at the earliest chance!
I've rated "9" as it's quite small, dark and smoke-filled, a bit more room and I would have added the point.
I don't know how many of you make it out to kittens, but if you do it is well worth it. the girls are very pretty and the atmosphere is more like a dance club than a strip club. when you call a girl over, she comes and sits down on your lap and immediatly starts grinding on you. It's a great club and is highly recommended.
