Newer black club in Columbia, a little bigger as far as amount of room than Studio 54 but not nearly as many dancers on hot nights (Friday/Saturday after midnight) as compared to Studio. Went after midnight on a Saturday and about 8 girls dancing, just like my first trip about 3 weeks ago. My first trip, there was a 10, an 8 and the rest from a 1 to 7. This time there was a different 10 and the rest about 4-7.
Quick rundown, plenty of security outside. Hats cost extra to get in the club. Cover is the black club normal: $10. Beer is always $3, there is a food menu (but I've never looked at it) and no idea how much hard drinks are. There's a main stage in the front, satellite stage by the DJ booth and another stage at the back by the bar. Always a girl at the main, the normally then rotate to the satellite stage and sometimes go to the back stage. Different experiences both times I went so not sure the normal, but the first time I was approached constantly for dances (it was earlier in the night, about 11:30 with about 3 customers when we got there) and the second time wasn't approached at all (came after 1:30, more customers). Best bet is to track a girl down right after she finishes the satellite stage because they tend to go to the back room afterwards if you don't. Table dances are $10 and VIP $25, non negotiable. Dance quality is great but the prices are hard to get by when you're used to Platinum Plus. There's a bouncer at the entrance to the VIP that keeps tabs on how many songs you're back there for, but keep count anyway because they'll try to get you (but the girls normally correct them anyway).
Overall, it's a little more upscale than Studio 54. I prefer it even though not nearly as many or enough girls. I'd say if you want more variety and a harder grind, go to Studio since the prices are identical. If you're a little older and want it more laid back, go to LaRoice. Music isn't overbearing and the DJ barely talks - just the way a DJ should be.
