Show List
Decided to try the Burlington Club Risque on a Wednesday after work. I knew that the establishment was bikini becuase it was located in New Jersey, but I decided to giev it a try anyway since the same dances rotate amongst the 3 club risques (Philadelphia, Bristol and Burlington). Even with my lowered expectations, I was disapponted.
First, there were not many dancers only 1-5. I would have expected more after 5 PM. Also, the place is so dark that it is hard to see anything.
Anyway after ordering a drink, I decided to take up a lap dance. Unfortunately I do not remember the girl's name, nice big fake tits, and a larger ass. Her ass could have been better as there was visible cellulite. Any way for $20 I decided to give her a chance.
She performed a good dance and I even had to ask her to slow down a little as I was getting a little too excited. Even though she wore a bikini she allowed me to place my hand underneath to feel her breasts. When I was not touching her, she left her nipples exposed and rubbed them in my face.
The dance seemed to last a long time and at first I was really happy to have tried this place. Given the better than average dance and the longer than usual length of time of the dance, I could live with the bikini aspect of the joint.
Unfortunately after returning to my seat at the bar, the girl came up to me and said that I owed another $20 for the dance as we went over time. At this point I felt ripped off. I would not have extended this dance, as I would have tried to see what other talent was available.
Since this ruined my mood, I left.
Maybe I'll give it another try, but as of right now I'd rather just go over the bridge to Bristol.
Not a great place to make as a destination venue, but a decent encounter when you just want to look at the ladies. Most girls were 5-7 in my opinion. Not overly pushy but they do want to collect your dollars. Mixed bag on the private dances - YMMV. Pay attention to the ladies - chat them up for a while and you may get a better sense of which ones are worth your time and your dollars. This area has gone downhill in the past two years in my opinion, but if you just want to have a little fun, this place should do the job.
Risque doesn't have a lot going for it, but it's a decent place to sit and have a drink or two. I stopped in a Thursday evening (8-ish), and found about 5 other customers and maybe 5-6 performers. No cover on this visit. The staff was friendly, even the big bouncer doing pat-downs at the door was pleasant about it. I usually stop in here just to have a beer or two before going to the Playhouse. The dancers here will get friendly with you at the bar, but they don't do it as routinely or aggressively as the Playhouse.
It has been 6 months since my last visit, so a friend and I decided to try again. I don't know what the reviewer below me is talking about--there are NO tents here. He must be think of Cheeks. About 7-8 girls on hand--only one above a 5 and she knew it and had an attitude! Free buffet was worth exactly that....it was poor. Onion rings all stuck together and cold french fries. The wings were ok. Good happy hour prices on beer at $2.50. This place could be good, but just doesn't get the right mix of women to work here. Probably becase they can't make much money. You can get laps upstairs that are topless. We opted to leave after 3/4 of an hour and traveled 100 yards to the Playhouse. That's another story>>>>>>
I've been to clubs all around the country. This one is a unique experience. Okay, so the girls aren't the best looking and the club has modest decor, but the girls really go the extra mile.
I especially like the $1 parade. It really gives you an opportunity to "interact" with all the girls.
The tent dances are also great. The girl I had offered extras at no extra charge! They seem very eager to please.
I stopped in after lunch, about 12:30, the place was alot slow. There were 4 or 5 girls working and all were fine. One was a 9 if any thing nice ass and fine, if well enhanced boobs. I watched a couple of dances the stage downstairs is a bikini bar and to my dismay nonsmoking. I was approached by one of the girls to go upstairs for a dance, she explained that NJ thinks alcohol and tits don't go together so the upstairs with no booze is a private area where they could do topless lap dances the price was $20 so since she had a fine rack I said yes and was led to the second floor. The dance seemed a little short, but, was worth the price you run my hands over those hard nipples and feel that sweet ass.If your in the area its worth a look.
Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon. The girls were sadly quite lame. i was hoping for much better as I really didn't want to go down the street. Lots or tattoos, not a lot of talent.
Based on other reviews, I may give it another shot, could have been a bad day. The other turn off to me was the several people hanging out out back. Always makes Mr. Businessman nervous to see.
Based on a Sat afternoon, early eve visit in May. Only 3 dancers, but Mary Jane, when motivated, is well worth the trip for her athleticism and enthusiasm if not her sensual dancing. Still the weakest of the 3 Club Risque, maybe because it's the only one that's not topless (not to their choice). NJ ABC laws are archaic - they should at least allow pasties like Delaware and Virginia.
Very nice place, was taken over by Club Risque a little while back. Hadn't been there for a year. Still good looking place, but the fringe benefits are still nowhere. Dancers inside the bar, come around inside the bar for there $$ and that's it. The Club which is about 15 mins over the brige in PA is much (MUCH) better, with a full bar, free lunch and early dinner and good food and great laps. Dancers in NJ are fine, but that is it.
Stopped in last night with a friend. We go here occasionally because they make a pretty good Martini! No cover before 7pm and a rather skimpy, but free buffet! Arrived at 630pm and there were only 3 girls. one 8 and the other 2 forget 'em! Around seven 4-5 girls came on shift and they were decent 6-7 range. Pretty much zero pressure here for anything. Only one girl came around and asked for a lap dance. The others danced 2 songs, circulated on the inside of the bar for a dollar or 2 per guy and that was it. Only around yards from the Playhouse, but a decent place to have a few drinks and converse with friends. I've had laps bvefore, which are upstairs--nothing to write home about.
Despite the rather weak reviews, I decided to give this club a try because of the complete lack of any de3cent looking dancers at the neighboring (and much more popular) Playhouse. The place has more negatives than positives. First, a place with such a low quality of girls (better than next door, barely) should NEVER have a cover charge. I enjoyed my visit because I was fortunate enough to find the one rose among the thorns. Wish my old friends had been along - this was the kind of luck I used to have all the time but thought I was losing due to much less strip club attendance (funny how my wallet is so much fuller!). But if you do not find a girl to match your tastes, you will likely hate this place, and simply feel like you just shelled out cover, beer money, and tips for nothing. No high hustle here is one more positive - then again, they have no reason to hustle unless they improve quality!
I have to agree with some of the recent posts on this place. Wow, has it gone downhill in the past year. Not really sure why, but the girls aren't that attractive and don't seem to even want to be there. People used to go here when the Playhouse was jammed, but I don't even think that's a good enough reason. Stay away.
Snore... I stopped in during the day. There were three girls working, four guys at the bar. One relatively attractive dancer, one friendly dancer - unfortunately they weren't the same girl. It's a typical tap-room type of club, with a stage surrounded by the bar. The place is clean and pleasant and low-key - if you want a beer and feel like watch mostly dressed (I've seen girls at the beach with far less on) lazy chicks saunter around, this is your place.
I don't understand why anyone would go here. I stopped in because I couldn't find a parking spot at the Burlington Playhouse. What a mistake. Unfriendly girls in a not so nice setting. Avoid this place.
On my way to Playhouse early one afternoon, stopped here first because PH's parking lot was empty. It was lunchtime, and there were only 2 or 3 customers inside Risque. They had a lunch buffet going that didn't look too bad. I had a couple of Bud Lights at $4 a pop while watching the show. Dancers do their thing on a low stage in the center of the room that's encircled by the bar. After their set, they circulate around the inside of the bar for tips. Some take another lap around the outside of the bar looking for more tips or soliciting for laps. I went upstairs with "Kayla" for a PD. It was OK, nothing earth-shattering. She kept the clothes on, and toward the end of the second song, said she'd go topless if I did another. Eh. They do the laps by time, not by song, so you get a full 4 minutes, which is pretty good. To get to the lap room, you take this weird circuitous route past the kitchen, around the broom closet, up some stairs, through a room, etc. The bouncer sits outside the lap room with a curtain blocking the view, so there is some privacy. All in all, not too bad, definitely worth stopping in to pound a few beers before heading next door to Playhouse (which has no alcohol).
