A little dumb luck had me passing through Kazoo & dropping in at LD's on a Tuesday to discover Two For One Night. 2 for 1 laps all night, half price domestic beer. No stunningly beautiful women but several that were working hard for the money and happy to spend time with the customers. For a DJV owned club, about as laid back as it gets. No pressure to buy dancer drinks. No bouncers on patrol. Just a manager occasionally strolling around, but I never saw him back in the VIP booth area. Had a nice time with Nikki and Madison blew me away with a couple of laps. Unfortunately, her shift ended a few minutes later, leaving my imagination waiting for more. With the two for one going on, I never got next door to DJV to check out the all nude action. Next time...
I tried Little Darlings for the first time. Maybe it was just a slow afternoon, but I doubt if I will be back. I enjoy the weekends at Deja Vu, but did NOT enjoy the daytime visit at Little Darlings. I prefer the full nudity of the Vu. Giving up total nudity for alcohol was not a good exchange in my opinion. Only 4 girls were there this afternoon and each one was paired up with a regular (?). Never was asked for dance and even if I was, I probably would have declined since they all were less than fives. I won't be back to LD....I'll stick with DJV.
The last time I was in Kalamazoo they had a strict no-touch policy - so much so that I had written Kalamazoo off completely. I've always hoped that Little Darlings would get a little less strict because Kalamazoo's a college town and they have a lot of really cute dancers.
This past visit was much better... I didn't have to sit on my hands in the VIP area - and the contact was even better in a privte room (which was not very expensive).
It'd been well over a year since I had visited the new LD's in Kazoo. Definite improvement, including much better VIP booths and a stronger lineup of girls. I was there on a mid weeknight. Almost as soon as I got my drink, I was greeted by Rose, a late 20's brunette, slightly slinky with a natural body. Good conversation, no big rush or high pressure but some great Knee Work while we talked! Rose explained that laps were $20 but they now have 15 mins in VIP for $50. That made for an easy decision, given the Deja Vu chain's tendency to chop songs at 3 mins or less. Rose & I moved down the field rather nicely in the 1st Quarter, so we kept going for another. We declared it "halftime", she had two drinks, I had one & we kicked off the 2nd Half back in VIP. Great one way action & occasionally good two way. Best I've seen in Kazoo in a long time! At that point, she suggested we could go next door to DJV's more private VIP rooms, with real walls & a door. I'd never had this offered before at LD's, so was intrigued. It's a little awkward, as a manager escorts the two of you out the front door, into the frigid cold, past the ticket booths & back inside DJV. But you get over it... If I remember correctly, all the prices on the DJV side are double LD's for VIP, so it's a $100 for 15 mins. It was nice & certainly a lot more hands on, but not sure it's worth twice as much. I'd recommend Rose and the $50 sessions on the LD's side first. Unfortunately, had no time to check out other dancers, or to visit the nude/no alcohol Deja Vu side of the building.
went in here for the first time since they moved from the downtown location.very nice facility. went in the middle of the day not too many people there but still very nice dancers.very beutiful woman very friendly and not too pushy excellent experience all around I would recommed anyone going.paid 6 bucks for a beer not too bad did'nt try any of the food but it all smelled good. the management here could give some of the supposed best in the business in vegas a lesson or two. there was a guy who ordered a burger while I was there he wanted it cooked well done it came out rare so hegave his food to him for free and gave him 45 min in a private room for free with his choice of girl. Now that is customer service
Club has moved to a brand new built-from-scratch building & is now known as LITTLE DARLINGS. New pleasure palace contains Deja Vu, Little Darlings & an adult toy boutique. Some kinks to work out but a huge improvement in almost every way from the old, temporary building that originally was the Mermaid for many years.
When you drive up to the new LD/DJV building, it's almost surrealistic. Two stories high, a huge canopy for unloading the limo or van, good lighting, huge parking lot where the old building stood. Three separate entrances but usually one admission price will get you into both sides, assuming you are 21. LD's serves alcohol. DJV does not.
Walking through a revolving door, you'll find the full bar off to right, just past a small circular Second Stage. Stairs go upstairs to dressing room & offices--and a Fire Pole that descends to the Second Stage. Off to the left are several not-very-private VIP rooms. Continuing into the main show area, you'll find WAY too much light. One of the most brightly lit strip clubs I've ever been in. You can easily identify faces all the way across the club. Lighting could be cut in half or two thirds & still be very adequate. There's a large circular stage with a night sky fake skylight & two two-story poles. Standard red plush DJV chairs. Similar high back plush VIP booths are along one of the back walls--probably ten of them. There is also a raised table area along the other back wall. Huge projection TV screens on the circular 2nd story wall, plus 4 or 5 flat screens around the bar & main areas. College football & the Tigers were running on a Saturday night.
A dancer told me that drink prices went up sharply when the new building opened. Atmosphere still seems pretty friendly with only a couple of floor managers, mostly keeping out of customers' & dancers' way. There appeared to be a lot of dancer turnover since earlier this summer in the old building. But one of my ATF's, Jessie, was there, so I'm not complaining. If you're not aware, LD's is topless, vs. DJV being nude. LD dancers apparently have to keep one foot on the floor at all times due to selling alcohol. (We can all thank the Kalamazoo City Commission for protecting us from ourselves!)
There would presently be NO advantage to going to VIP vs. normal private lap dance booths, since VIP couch rooms on the side are totally visible to anyone walking to a table, the bathroom, etc. If opaque glass or plastic or even bamboo or beads were put up, that might change. But apparently, that's an issue with the City due to alcohol being sold. (There were no VIP rooms in the old LD/Mermaid).
No sign of the ridiculous computerized timers/currency readers that are in several other DJV-owned clubs, including Lansing. Hopefully, they've given up on those!
Overall, Little Darlings has real potential to get better if some of the minor annoyances are dealt with.
