First things first...they fixed the parking lot. This is not a misprint. Feel free to drive most makes and models up to the spot now. The hill is still there, so if your vehicle rides really low or has a low front end you may still want to take a moment before you pull on up. The way it has been redone, the small side road off the right is also open for parking. But you have to navigate the hill to get there unless they unblocked the way in the from the residential neighborhood. The access road from the backside is by the gas station around the corner if you swing around to the right (driving away from the club) at the light at the strip mall across the street. You'll know it when you see it. Onto the club. Busy night for a Thursday. DJ was almost non-existent (didn't really talk at all) but music kept ripping along at a steady rate. One thing I've always liked about Irving's even when it was just a sea of very uncomfortable chairs (they just bought some new ones, btw) was that they never cut the songs short. Even with the regular dance prices on the floor at $10 you're going to get your money's worth. VIP prices start at $20 but can be negotiated. It'll cost you $20 to get back there the first time and $10 for the girl, but both girls and customers only pay once per night. Been a little lazy with the reviews. Figured some other people could chip in (there are enough faces in the place these days). Consider the rest of this a combination of recent visits.

Something different when I walked in was the variety in the crowd. The girls are still basically all black except for a tight bodied little blonde in the usual crew, but if the customers continue to diversify you might start to see a different mix of girls again like a few years back. Club was crowded but chill, but the dancers could still work on saying hi before "wanna dance"? Showcase Theater up in Beltsville had that issue for years before the girls there figured it out. A few girls here seem to have regulars but a lot of them just bounce from guy to guy looking for dances. More of them could stand to show a few moves on stage to generate interest. One of the best looking girls in the place always puts in stage time even though she probably doesn't need to be up there to get guys interested. I got a few dances from a couple of different gals and they didn't disappoint. Had two knuckleheads beside me that were completely in the middle of one of my sets and constantly trying to talk to the dancer. If you want to stare that's one thing, even make a couple of comments, but trying to chat up a dancer when she's busy with another guy is just bad form. Had to move along to VIP just for a little peace and quiet. Looks like they turned over a lot of the talent again and so far so good with most of the new dancers. If the demographic on customers (and girls) continues to shift I'll mention it in another review. In other news, apparently there was some sort of incident here the other week. Heard the guy lived. Won't go into details, and the club has taken some noticeable steps to address some of the less favorable aspects of the club experience.

Another visit. The parking lot is well lit now, and smaller. For those who've read my other reviews about this place, if you're a typical customer just passing through you'd feel a little better about walking around now. Even if the folks reading this are mostly strangers to me, I wouldn't recommend a place where violence is not a rare and random occurrence to the public. I still like the place, though, and it manages to be an upper tier club in the service department. But they've really got to do something about the customers lighting each other up, and it looks like management is trying. Some customers are still a little funny about being in other people's dances but I guess it's all in good fun. So many girls here spend 70% of their time sitting around yet some dudes can't decide they want a dance until they're busy with someone else. If anybody wants to check this place out for the first time, security is maxed around the weekend and that's when they have a stage rotation (for those who just like to tip and see the lineup). The mood in the club is little subdued compared to how it's been over the last year or so, but I would say this is the first time I've been there late night where the place seemed to be really organized at all. Tradeoffs. So on the one hand, I'd say the club has taken another step up (which gets it a 7 on the club rating) but it always seems to be driven by negative reinforcement. The wild urban west mentality is only going to get a business so far. The girls weren't as solid as the last time I was in, but couldn't tell you if some of the familiar faces I didn't see took the night off or are off the roster now. Floor was busy with dances and so was VIP, so the talent was there it was just not the best I've seen.

Oh, and last time some of the girls actually walked by, sat and chatted on a busy night. Like I said, better but for all the wrong reasons.

They've added a few new faces lately on the dancer side of things. After a really odd experience at another club, dropped by here for a late night chaser on a Thursday.

Though the club has been a little inconsistent lately with its lineup (it really doesn't have one), I had a good time as expected and got to unwind a bit. All dancers are free to come and go as they please so long as they tip out, so you may want to find out how to contact a specific girl OTC if you want to know her schedule. More of the dancers are venturing higher up on the stage poles during their sets, so the general entertainment value is on the rise. One I thing I've noticed lately is the volume of the music has gone down a bit, so you can actually hear yourself think and carry on a conversation if you'd like to somewhere other than VIP.

Also, girls have not been circulating as much to interact even on slow nights. If dancers want to better separate men from their cash when there is a room full of choices, they should want to stand out for more than their looks. To complete the jump from lap factory to a regular destination spot, management may want to address the mingling issue. Not much else to say other than Irving's is just about the best option around for late night laps outside of The Block. Same guidance as before still applies on when (or whether) to visit.

Ok black stripclub...$20 to enter...they have flyers that say you can get in for a lot less if you arrive earlier. Not too many patrons on a Wed, but plenty of females. Actually 2-3 girls per guy. BYOB. Sometimes there is a guy outside selling booze. All shapes and sizes...most are not much in the face. Slightly aggressive; girls will approach you and ask for a dance and some will just start dancing on you and not give you the opportunity to say no and you have to push them away if your not feeling them. There is a VIP room ; not sure how that works. I got a really good dance from 2 girls...most girls charge $10. I had 1 girl try to upsell me for $20...when I said no, she said "ok, $10"...suffice it to say she got nothing. One girl charged me $5...but the going rate is $10...you might can negotiate a little though. I told 1 girl to stop dancing when she got to a certain amount and she went way past the number of dances and didn't seem to mind when all I gave her was what I promised...worth checking out if your looking for a black joint...parking does suck as stated in other reviews.

The parking lot is crap. Go slow or you will hit potholes too fast and hard. It reminds me of mine fields, lol. Do not look nervous as you walk towards the door as the smell of fear may be the wrong cologne that will grant you unwanted attention. Security is very tight as well as limited seating. You receive stand up or seated LP. Roaming is allowed as YMMV. Did not venture to VIP area, but heard stories that dreams are possible. Most dancers are available for afer parties. $5 dances with good mileage are a great value for a club opened super late. Enjoy!

As a believer in giving credit where credit is due, here’s an update to my write up from a couple years back. Last year they started fixing this place up. Can’t remember exactly when it started but it seems like it’s just about finished. The driveway into the parking area (mud and rocks don’t really rate being called a lot) still looks like the surface of the moon but there’s a patch of concrete a little wider than a car so you’re not usually forced to drive through it. Would be nice to see that fixed. I could go through all the interior changes but it’s a lot shorter just to describe the lay of the land as is. When you first walk in expect to be frisked. The same thing happens at most DC clubs so it comes with the territory. Cover is $20. You can get in cheaper by arriving early, but since the place doesn’t pick up until after 11 pm or so you’re wasting your time showing up then without friends. On Friday and Saturday expect to pay a $10 fee to park near the club. If you aren’t local that’s your best bet. The dancers run the entire range, but there are more attractive girls working here now. Even a few 9's and 10's, and most are young. Lots to choose from. In terms of dancer ethnicity this is almost entirely a black club, even moreso than before. The typical LD is going to cost you $10, up from $5 and is done in the open on a variety of chairs that go from semi comfortable to metal. Styles and mileage will vary. It doesn’t cost you much to find out and you’ve got an open view of how well other customers are doing. Where and how you can touch varies by girl and how much you’re tipping. When they first added the brighter lighting it wasn’t a good thing, but with the new girls and the better stages I’ve gotten used to it. The main rectangular stage is in the center of the club and 2-3 feet high. Nice height for 360 degree viewing and tipping. Girls will give pretty good samples at the stage for $. There are poles at each corner and one in the center that goes up at least 15 feet into scaffolding. Some dancers will do moves from up high. Saw one drop all the way down into a split which got a roar out of the crowd. There are two side stages backed with mirrors, and for the most part girls dance where and when they like and you’ll get multiple girls on all. They have a dancer rotation on Friday and Saturday starting around 1 am with 1-2 songs/dancers per set. If the girls don’t recognize you don’t expect a lot in the conversation department, but you’ll still get your money’s worth on the lap. There are a lot of bouncer types walking around but they won’t bother you if you don’t bother them. The DJ doesn’t cut songs short, is only chatty once in a while and for the most part keeps things running smoothly. But be aware the music is LOUD. There is a VIP room on the side of the club with the DJ booth and it’ll cost you $20-30 to get in there, depending on the girl and time of night. It gets a lot of foot traffic on busy nights and there are not individual booths, so if you’re the shy type you may not want to venture there. Songs in the VIP area are standard $20 topless and prices are negotiable based on the dancer and duration. It tends to be worth the $$. Fridays and Saturdays are busiest as you’d expect. Do I like this club? Yes. Would I recommend this club? It depends. If you’re the kind of guy who goes to clubs wearing a suit, do not stop by. Go to Scores up in Baltimore. If you’re the type of guy who’s a loud drunk and picks fights with people, do not stop by. Anywhere. If you get anxious in the rough parts of town or with the people you’d find there, do not stop by. Player’s Club or Showcase are probably more your speed. If you’re looking for some of the most underrated lap dances around and can blend in give it a shot. When I say blend in it means simply be cool and don’t make an ass out of yourself. Be smart. I’ve seen all creeds and colors in the place and you’ll get treated with respect so long as you give it in return.


I have been here about 3 times, because it just happens to be down the street from me. The women are ok. Depending on the night, you may go in there and dance with a lovely beauty or there will be someone not even worth the $. It's a 50/50 chance. As far as atmosphere,it is actually no to bad, despite it's location. I have not been in the VIP area, so i can't tell you about that. The music is up to date, DJ is not the worst...but not the best. it's BYOL, as long as it's not in a glass bottle, so bring a bottle of your best and have fun.

I went to this place on Friday night. It's been over 6 months since I was last there. It's changed a quite a bit. It's never been upscale and still isn't. It's been remodeled though w/a big stage in the center, it's a bit brighter than before, and the VIP section is now bigger and VERY private but costs 20 bucks for all night instead of $10 for a dark (closet like space). There were 30-40 honeys ranging from 0 to 10. One 400 pound chick and several 9-10s. I would say 6-7 was the average based on my scale with varying degrees of rauchiness. Pretty girls as usual do less. Oh, no smoking is allowed now. Still, 20 bucks to get in. (don't get there before midnight!!!) Overall, I had an okay time but was taken back by the changes. The brighter lights tended to cut back the free for all atmosphere that I go there for. Before it was very possible to finger bang a chick tipping one dollars bills. It might still go on but the light put a cramp in things. The VIP section, which I tried, has lots of possibilities w/the right girl. I, unfortunately, picked a hot, young, tight Trinidad chick who grinded my dick off but didn't put extras on the table beyond topless - no touching the crotch. (It was satisfied but like I wrote I really go there for the freakier action.) This is really not normal for this place though. Another guy in VIP seemed to have full rein, for touching anyway. Anyway, I would go again now that I know the deal. I need to pick a suitably liberal chick and the VIP could be pretty wild. A lot of these girls do outside action so it's always interesting.

Been there a couple of weeks back on a saturday night to find some big ass chicks. Club is remodeled but it still feels damn cold in there. Can't expect much from this one but been there only 'cos DC clubs are just topless. Was very disappointed to see just about 8 to 10 chicks and just 10 patrons. Got bout 8 laps from a fine looking chick. Can anyone tell if this is by far the best ethnic full-contact nude club in MD as suggested by someone? or am I missing a better one?
