I consider Casablanca to be the 2nd best in tico land. The reasons:

Elegance: It is a very large and beautiful club, reminding me of the really good clubs in the United States. It has the feeling of comfort. Everything is first class from the furniture to the waiters' tuxedos to the dancers' clothes.

Number of dancers: It has more dancers than any club I have been to in Costa Rica. I counted 40 a couple of nights ago.

Beauty and quality of the dancers: Not first, but probably second or third. However, quite a few get a top rating.

Communications: Every waiter I have had contact with speaks good English.

Price of basic services: It is more expensive than many clubs in San Jose, but certainly not excessive considering what you receive if you only drink and watch the shows. They have a minimum of $15, but you can have three premium drinks (such as Baileys) and not exceed the minimum, with taxes and service included.

Confusion factor: If you stick to the basics, there is none. At each table there is a sign in English stating exactly what the price is for each of the basic services, such as dancers' drinks, wine, champagne, and private dances. The basic drink for a dancer is $14, which includes taxes and service, and one or two won't put you in the poor house. Glasses of wine and champagne are a little more. The tab is a printout in English of all services and costs and taxes and service charges, and the total is shown both in colones and dollars. It is easy to understand with no confusion. It is a pleasant change from a few of the clubs in town.

Prices of "premium" services: These would include bottles of champagne, a swim in the jacuzzi, and the private company of a dancer. These prices are not listed, but you can ask a waiter. Count on the fact that these will cost a lot more than in many of the not so elegant clubs. Ask first so there will be no unpleasant surprises when the tab comes.

Overall: I enjoy Casablanca very much. I usually have three drinks and buy one or two dancers a drink. The tab is $43. Sometimes I just have two or three drinks and watch the girls and the tab is $15. I think that is very reasonable.

Note: Many strip clubs have a small minimum which entitles the customer to have two or three drinks and watch some pretty girls dance and take off their clothes. I consider this to be bargain entertainment. Where most people get into trouble is going beyond this and buying a lot of drinks for dancers and having a lot of extra services. Many of these dancers throw the drinks down, and at $10 to $20 a drink in some of these clubs, the bill can get very large very fast. If you are on a budget, good self discipline will allow you to have a good time at a very reasonable cost.



I used to love this place, but it has new ownership and has really taken a turn for the worst.

Instead of lots of hot, young spinners like in the past, when I went last week it only had one hot girl, and she knew it. She spent all her time trying to steal a local guy away from the only other girl who was semi-hot.

The other girls went very friendly, and over half the time the stage sat empty. They weren;t eve trying to please.

The back rooms have always sucked. Just a bench inside a closet, really. It was so uncomfortable that I laid down on the hard floor to let the girl do cowgiel on me. 14,000 colones (less than US$30) until climax.

Now I was told that it cost this much for only 15 minutes, or US$80 for an hour! I know that is the gringo ri-off prce, but I never got the real price out of them.

A big change. A big waste of time. It's really too bad.

I went to Pantera Rosa last night about 3am and had one of the best times ever at a strip club. The chicas were hot and very friendly...drinks for them are 4000 col...my rum and coke was 1100 col.
the small Pantera rooms are 13,600 for 15 minutes.
I had a great time with several chicas at the bar but Nicole was the hottest of all.

Nicole sat down on my lap and I bought her a few drinks. She gave me lap dances while my hands were all over her body. I spent 15 minutes with her for a CBJ for $26.00

i stopped in here on a friday night in early december 07 and it was not at all what i expected (not exactly sure what i expected actually). i walked in to find a totally packed house standing room only around a stage with 1 girl. it's a pretty small room and it can be a pain to get to the bar. shortly afer i arrived a local guy was pulled on stage and was fully undressed by the dancer (not the kind of show i was looking for). by that time i noticed that there was an elevated area in the corner of the room that had places to stand and sit and girls cavorting with customers. to get up there you have to put down something like $60 (sorry, don't remember exactly) which can then be spent on drinks and girls (yes, backroom sessions count). this was definitely worth it and i can't recommend highly enough to pay the money to get into the vip area. the host will bring you drinks and girls, who will sit and talk with you for free. you can take them to the back rooms (fully private rooms) where you can pretty much do what you want. full service was offered. cbj was offered ($20 was the rate for that). pretty good experience, would definitely go back and recommend the place

$100 for full service and worth every penny. BBBJ, DFK a real PSE. Ask for Lizette. They have rooms, no beds but couches. Lizette is tops and I felt like I was on the set of some wild porno movie banging her every way possible even standing up while she leaned against the wall.



I go to CR often and my favorite strip club is D'Palufos in San Pedro. They have crazy stage shows where they pull guys on stage and molest them then beat them with a belt. They have girls sticking bottle you know where. They put whip cream on body parts and let guys lick it off and I mean completely off. Then abour 11PM, they have girls dance for you in public for 1000 colones. Then a little after midnight, they have hot lesbian shows. The thing I like best is they have very private rooms and they only charge $14 for 5 minutes and you can get a really hot lesbian show for $28.

This place is a bar/restaurant on the side. I believe is part of DelRey Hotel Complex. When you walk in you will find a bar with girls walking around. You could talk to them and have a conversation or have drinks with them. If you preferred you could bring it to you hotel for full service the going price is around 30000 to 40000 colones in which is around $60 to $80. Most of the time you will find a live music and the girls ready to dance with you. What they basically is looking for and to bring them back to your hotel. This is not a strip club

Recently I had read several posts saying that ever since the Pirate Club bought Kamur, talent had gone down. I went there yesterday with my buddies and for one I can say this is not the case... I saw many chicas from before working there, although the place has indeed suffered some changes. These change sinclude the burial of the VIP room, which is now like a fashion catwalk, and the infamous "pu*sy show" ---original name, huh?---, the one where all the dancers make one show toghther. This pu*sy show now includes a feature that appeared funny to me, which was that for the 10-15 mins that the show lasts, for only 1000 (less than $2) you get one lap dance of approximately 2 minutes...so during the show you can have your variety of girls for a very low price. True, it is not a private dance, but it indeed is funny how many guys waste almost 15-20K in that period of time (trust me, you have to see this...)

But regarding talent, K-Mur is still right up there with the best. Highly rcommended girls, from their physique, are the columbian Katherine for al of you tit and ass lovers, also Yuli the Dominican for all ass lovers, and al-around girls like Rebeca, Angela, Tamara, just to name a few.

I highly recommnd this place. It gives me a better aura than Pantera Rosa and Margaritas, and talent is still high

I had a chance to visit Elite in July 2008. The club is very similar to US clubs. It is located in "el Paseo Colon". I think cabbies get a tip for bring patrons so most will gladly take you there. The place appears to be a franchise/corporation as they have clubs in other Central American countries. Parking is very limited, given the crime situation in Costa Rica I would advice to take a cab. Otherwise ask on of the security guys outside to keep an eye on your car and tip him on your way out.

There was no cover charge on my visit but a minimum consumption that was fairly steep with 3 beers for about US$14.00. It is probably not outrageous for US patrons but in my opinion too high for Costa Rica. The club is large with a bar, tables and a large stage. There was a nice selection of girls. I saw Costa Rican, Nicaraguan and Russian girls. I also heard there are many Dominican and Colombian girls but I didn't see any. The quality overall was pretty high (7-9).

Private dances (in an closed private room) are $45 for three dances. However, it seems most girls are not interested in dances and are really interested in going to the Champagne room or VIP for 1 hr. The VIP room costs ~US$250/1 hr, but I am sure a discount can be negotiated. You pay this money to the club. The private room is a small private room with a door and a one way mirror where you can see the stage but people outside cannot see you. After you pay the club you have to negotiate what you want with the girl. Most girls offer full service for US$100-200.

Another important thing to know is how girls are compensated. All girls get a salary and earn commissions for drinks, patrons buy for them (similar to Mexico), private dances and visits to VIP. I bought my girl one drink (copa) and it was VERY pricy US$20.00. This basically gets you nothing but a time to chat with the girl.

During my visit with a close buddy we had several girls that stopped by to chat. I decided to chat with Ginger/Grace don't remember exactly. It was funny because she was Nicagaraguan and the name didn't fit the girl. She was a nice and hot. I had fun with her. That is why I bought the expensive copa. I knew I didn't want to go for a the Champagne Room/VIP. So after talking with her for a while I told her I wanted some dances to see if she was worth a visit to VIP. We went into a little room on the side of the club where she closed a curtain. All dances are supposed to be nude. She was slow to take off her clothes… so I had to complain and help her a bit. The dance was good. Activities included LFK, NE and SE. There was a also a little kitty play and slight FUHA that made her jump a bit. After the dances were over I told her I had to check on my buddy. She took a while to get dressed which I though was a trick to charge me an extra dance but at the end of the night the tab was accurate.

Overall, the club is nice, there are lots of pretty girls. My main complaint is with the prices. They are too high. A fun night can quickly escalate with beer being $5/each, VIP room at $250/1hr and the price of the girl at $100-200. In no time you can have a >$500 tab. You can have more fun in Costa Rica for a lot less. Even in the good old US you can have a lot of fun for that price.

IMHO the place is good if you don't mind the price, otherwise pass. There are better places. It’s a shame because the girls are pretty and the place is nice.


Pronounced "ay-leet-tay" I say 9 because not all girls were hot, but quite a few were. Very classy and upscale. They are trying real hard in that way. Private dances are $20 and anything goes. The place rocks. I met Kimberly there - super cute. She was no and anxious to please. You will be hit up for drinks (for you and/or the girl), but they are so much cheaper than in the states. It doesn't feel like a gouge.
