Show List
Went to the Pink Poodle on a Thursday afternoon. Cover charge was $17 plus a one drink ($3) minimum. This is a nude club so just soft drinks and non-alcoholic beers are served. The club is small with 1 main stage which has fairly good lighting. There's also curtained area of four small elevated stages and another curtained area for shower shows.
There were 5 girls working the afternoon shift. Most of girls were average except for Amber who is sexy as hell and has a great stage presence and Kali who's a lean sexy brunette. Decided to have a shower show with Amber for $50. The show lasts for about 10 minutes and gets quite wet and slippery.
The club doesn't compare to those in San Francisco but it's a decent alternative for the south bay. I'd go again to see Amber.
Went to this club on a weekday after a meeting. I was not that impressed.
The club is quite small, and has the feel of a neighborhood dive bar, but with out the drinks. The stage is sort of small, and there is only one dancer on stage at a time. When I was there, there were not of girls walking the floor.
It was sort of early and on a weekday, so the selection of girls was not the best. There was actually a girl who was yelling at some customers from the stage when I walked in. It must have been the last show of her night, as I did not see her again.
I did not get any private dances, but the setup seemed very strange, like you had a private stage. No contact.
Went to this club on a Thursday night. No cover charge at all. Went inside and found out why they don't charge any cover. Girls were average at best and most of them either looked real old or were chubby. Only 1 or 2 good looking girls working. Club was small with a few stages for stage shows and some booths for private lapdances. Lapdances ran for $20 per song on average. Drinks cost about $5 for some pop. Overall, not a very good club with below average looking girls. Would not recommend this club
fun, but not a fair quality/price ratio - but in the end some attractive women with no clothes on...so could be worse.
Private dances are in side room with little booths, the girls will start out of reach but when alone and paying for more then one dance it got hotter. Not like some clubs in OC, but not bad for an afternoon time waster.
I would recommend finding something in San Fran where you can pretty much get laid by more attractive women for not much more then here...your choice though.
Made a quick stop to see if anything had improved but pretty much the same:
Slightly older dancers, good stage shows and bad private dances. Save your money and just tip at the stage because that is as good as it gets.
Once again better than the KitKat but still below avg.
In Town on business and stopped by on a Thursday. The $20 cover is expected but apparently they also have a one drink minimum. Since it is nude water, juice, soda are your options. So really the cover is $23 bucks. There were an okay number of girls at the club and range types. Older (late 20s early 30s) to young, range of ethnicities. The girls danced for one song.... and even then they weren't on stage for the whole song. The DJ would call a dancer start the song then at some point the girl would decide to come on stage dance for what ever was left then use the next song to pick up her tips. Then she would leave. A new song would come on and that would play until the next dancer was announced with a new song. All in all it seemed like more time was spent waiting for someone to appear on stage than actual dancing.
Drink service was fairly quick and most of the dancers were good on stage. The private dance was just okay. As mentioned in other reviews no contact. So a private dance is really just a slightly longer (because they dance for the whole song) version of the stage show. It is a bit more intimate some dancers may take advantage of the setting more than other to enjoy themselves.
I probably won't head back here if I were in the area again. Save your money for something else.
A buddy and I visited this club on a Wednesday afternoon around 2 PM. After walking in, I realized these was so music playng, then seeing the stage, that there were no dancers! There were 3 people in the theater, watching some sort of quasi-porn movie. Strange. Five minutes later, I guess they had cued the daytime girls to start dancing. No girl there was really attractive, escept for a very thin brunette (looked like a wig) that arched over the stage to almost put her head almost in my buddy's lao.Bery. very pretty face.
We figures out that tipping $4 or $5 per girl got us a lot of attention. I got a flat-face-full of boobs, and a somewhat overweight blonde played with herdelf in fron of us, sticking her finger in and out. The one black girl there looked like she had some kind of gynecological problem (or maybe she'd just had unprotected sex, I don't know). Overall, a somewhat entertaining experience. I think I'd rather try the night shift. I'll give it one more chance.
First time I was at the Pink Poodle, I was used to traditional strip clubs and wasn't impressed. Having recently toured most of the clubs in the area, I guess it's sorta best in class, given the no contact San Jose/Sunnyvale rules.
Went by again late on Tuesday evening, there was a $20 cover but worth it with plenty of girls (probably 10 dancing). They were 5's through 9's, and fairly young.
The private dances are $20 to $40, with the girls up higher than you in a booth. There's some small side curtains so the girls can't quite see each other, but no privacy for the customers. Dances range from enthusiastic to distracted, but all no contact.
I opted for the "shower dance" and will admit that it's a step above the rest. It's about 10 minutes of the girl lathering and rinsing, you're sitting inside the show curtain with her. Some of the girls are quite thorough in their showers, and it's probably the best show in the south bay area and why this place gets a "6" despite no contact.

I was in town for business in late 2007 and decided to check this place out on a Wednesday night. The cover charge was $20 and since it's all nude, there is no alcohol served (juice 'n soda here fellas). There is a small, main stage, semi-private booths and a shower zone. It's not really a "shower room" as it encompasses a corner of the club with a privacy curtain so it's more of a zone. On the night I went, there was a very small crowd of about 6-8 people besides myself and the dancers, in terms of quality, ran the gamut with some OK to one or two that were pretty decent looking. That night I guessed about 7 or 8 dancers were working. Each dancer comes out and does a 2-3 song set on stage. If you're so inclined you can saddle up right next to the stage or enjoy the show from an outer booth. Either way you're probably close enough. One of the real negatives that night was there were periods of time were the stage was empty for a good 10-15 minutes. I'm guessing a dancer was absent or they just didn't care given the lack of clients. The dead spots were pretty lame to say the least. There was also little to no interaction with the dancers besides one or two who seemed the least bit interested that night. In terms of 1-on-1 dance cost, all of which I gathered from a dancer, a private booth was $20 for a song and $40 for three songs, while a shower dance would set you back $50. I elected for the private booth, which was less then engaging. One of the things I didn't realize before going was lap dancing in San Jose is illegal. This is definitely something you need to factor in before going. I've also read on other sites to visit the bar when you want to get a private/shower dance as they will cut you a better deal...I have no idea if this is true, but worth checking out if you go. Overall, the dancers are totally nude, it's fairly cheap and if you like orange juice, then this is your place. Otherwise, save your pennies for another day.
I recently went to the Poodle during the day. It was as dead as a ghost town (only one other customer), but most of the girls were friendly and down to earth. Even the waitress does private dances, which is a perk. I sat at the tip rail and basically got my own private show for only a couple of bucks per girl. It beats the $20 I would have paid for a private table dance (although, I'd recommend a shower show over the table dances anyway. There's no camera in the shower area, so the girls can get a little bit more "friendly" in there...bring enough money to tip though!)
The DJ is rude at times, but hey, who goes to a strip club for the DJ? And, the girls seem to make the best of the situation. They're a lot of fun so long as you understand how the game works. Tippers get all the attention.
All in all, if you have some time to kill but not enough time to make the drive to SF, I'd say the Poodle is as good a place as any to spend your money.
Definitely a low mileage club. The stage shows are OK, but nothing great. I hadn't tried a private dance before, and based on the reviews, didn't think it'd be worth it, but I was approached by a cutie while she was on stage, so I though what the heck. She asked me if I wanted one or two (saying she had to pay the club in advance). I opted for 2 @ $20. She finished her dances then disappeared for a while. When she came back, we went over to the private area. I sat on a couch / bench and she danced across from me on a small stage. After one dance, she "forgot" I had paid for two, so she gave me a second lame dance. Kind of what I expected, but I thought I'd give it a try.
My recommendation - make the drive to SF. South bay clubs are a waste of time.
Checked out the Pink Poodle on 10/5/2007 for a possible club for my buddy's bachelor party. Worst mistake of my life. The moment I stepped in there I felt unwelcome. Didn't even have a chance to settle in before they started harassing me for more money and to sit by the stage. The manager/owner or whatever he was didn't even have the girls dancing at any regular interval, so I was left waiting and staring at the baseball game which the asshole decides to rudely turn off. On top of that he starts yelling obscenities which were obviously directed at me. He then has the waitress bitch to me that I should be tipping the dancers, but I was the whole fucking time. He finally decides to call out the next dancer, and again another short song/set. I tip her and get the fuck out of there. There's basically only 2 full nude clubs in the San Jose area. Pink Poodle and Kit Kat Club...I would avoid Pink Poodle completely. Kit Kat Club has better quality women and the club managers are at least civilized.
A night at San Jose's Pink Poodle club, at the corner of Bascom and San Carlos:
I went there with some of my friends last month. A friend of mine was getting married and we put together a bachelor's party for him. We arrived in a group of 10 and were greeted by a host of nice looking dancers. They were pretty hot - I would rate them an 8. The manager was jovial and could sense that we were there to have some fun. We sat down, ordered a couple of drinks from one of the servers, and sat near the poles and the catwalk with a lot of dollar bills in our hands. The dancers were fun - each of them comes in and gets in the buff by the time the song is over - and there are some 8-9 girls who dance one after the other. After their parade, a new set of girls come on. There is also a shower show and private dances - which we did enjoy - we somehow got the feeling that in San Jose one is not allowed to explore with the girls as much as in San Francisco - which was a pity. All in all, good clean safe fun.
the first time i went there with my friends...it was pretty fun. one of the girls went up there and showed a little something...you know. the night ended well. i would give it a 9 just because my girlfriend went up there and showed us another side of her.
Went there on a Monday afternoon. There were only about 4 other men in the whole (small) place. The minute I walked in I thought, "Where the hell are the dancers?"
They had some corny 70's porno-type music playing and the stage was empty. Never in my life havr I seen this at a strip club. Uusally, of course, you go into a club and see a party in progress. Not here! Perhaps they were waiting for the place to get busier before bringing out the babes? Very stramge.
After I got my vranberry juice (no alcohol at nyde clubs) , the DJ said the show would begin. Fiest dancer was tall, slender, brunette witha wig, but obvuiuvly naturally pretty. Second one was a somewhat overweight blonde who only let down her dress occasionally for a flash of boon, or hiked it up for a flash of kitty. Third was another overweight dancer with huge (but saggy and sloppy) boobs. Finally was a slender black girl who (and I am not kidding) had some major hygiene problens "down there." As a bonus. none could really dance or work the pole. I want my money back! Night shift must be better, or hoiw could this place stay in business?
