This place doesn't appear to be called "Planet Rock"...didn't really see any sign except one that just says "GENTLEMEN'S CLUB" really big on the outside by the street.
I went on a Monday night to check it out. The interior decor looks like that of a biker's bar with a clientele of all races. There was about 6 working girls but only 4 of them rotated through on the stage. It is a bikini bar, so nothing is shown, although you can sit by the stage rail and tip the dancers. Each girl dances about 2-3 songs and sometimes there might be one "break" song between girls. The girls range from 4-8 in looks. They do offer "lap dances" which are done in an open area in one end of the club where they have several cheap sofas. No touching by the customer appears to be the rule, although mileage seems to vary. I picked one dancer to ask for a dance after she got done dancing but the contact was minimal with light touching. It cost $30 for one song...compared to what's in San Bernadino, it wasn't worth it.
I stopped by to check this place out after seeing the "Voted #1" sign outside. Beer was cheap, and it tasted like it. There were only 2 girls dancing at around 5 p.m. and neither was much to look at. I talked to one of them while she tried to sell a dance and she was some piece of work. She was pushing 40 and caked with make up and crappy perfume. She talked freely about her sad story - turns out her friend had left her stranded in Hesperia with no where to stay and she was just trying to earn enough for a bus ticket. Really made for a great time. Don't waste your time stopping by here unless you are in to old not so good looking homeless dancers.
I don't usually visit bikini clubs, but I was in the Hesperia area recently so I gave it a try. Planet Rock has the feel of a local bar, with girls in bikinis thrown in. They have pool tables and a few video games and I saw several couples playing pool. This is NOT a topless club as implied by the previous reviewer. I was in on a Tuesday night about 9. By 10 the place was pretty busy with about 20 patrons and 12 girls. The girls varied widely; there were a few 4's that were difficult to watch on stage, but there were also several very attractive girls. Sabrina in particular is a cute blonde with a great body. Of course the major downside to a bikini club is that the clothes stay on, but this club has several offsetting benefits: It is by far the cheapest "club" experience around - no cover charge, no waitress and more or less regular bar prices ($4 for bottle beer). The girls are also very polite and low pressure. I was approached for private dances by three girls on about 2 hours and one asked if it would be OK to check back with me later. Stage dances are like a regular strip club but without the stripping. The girls are not aggressive about tipping. When Sabrina was on stage there were about 6 guys at the rail. She only approached each guy once for a tip during two songs.
The songs appeared to be full length and private dances ($20) are available in a couch area off to the side of the main room. The private dances are clearly visible from the rest of the club and it looked like most girls gave pretty good contact. The lack of a cover charge and reasonable prices make this is great place to stop for a beer and enjoy the view, but the rest of the "club" experience is pretty tame.
This is a laid-back club with some attractive dancers. The lap dances are $20 and vary from good to great.
There's no cover charge and no waitress, which is unusual. You order from the bar, which is along the back wall to your right as you enter. The stage is in front center, pool tables left, men's room in back left. There's several comfortable couches for lap dances on the right. The manager and DJ are on an elevated area at the entrance.
The seating area in front of the stage could use some more chairs and tables. The chairs they have in this area are not too comfortable, but at least they have backs, unlike the stools in the primary seating area near the bar.
The quality of the girls is good and getting better as the population of the high desert increases. This is one of only two clubs of this type in the area.
The dances can be memorable. The lap dance couches are on a slightly elevated area on the right wall. They could be more private, but at least it is dark. Since the couches are easily visible from the main seating area, it's common for customers to watch the lap dances as they watch the stage dancing. This is great entertainment, although it can be somewhat annoying when you are the one getting the lap dance.
This is one of the few topless clubs where you can pretty much turn into a rock if you want; thus, the club name is somewhat ironic. You can drink at your own pace without being hustled by a waitress, and the dancers do not hard hustle.
It would be good to have another club or two open in the high desert, but we could be doing lots worse.
