RI AMPs

I’ve been meaning to do a posting on some RI Asian Massage Parlors (AMPs) that I have been to or heard of. RI has a loophole in their law that goes back to the 1980s that basically sez that prostitution is legal as long as it is done indoors. They keep trying to close this loophole, but it never seems to make it through.

 

Let’s start with a few basics about AMPs that I’ve heard of before:

 

-they say to never let the person that initially greets you know that you’ve never been to that establishment before. I’ve always been honest, and it doesn’t seem to diminish my experiences so far. In places where things are illegal, this might be a way to not be labeled as a potential narc.

 

-the standard, upfront “house fee” runs $60-70/hour. Some places might have other fees for longer or shorter stays, but an hour’s stay is the standard fare. The mama-san that greets you or the girl that escorts you to your room will ask for this fee ahead of time.

 

-they say that it’s a good idea to allow the person that will be “servicing” you to see you naked during or just after you initially get undressed...this will happen after they collect the “house fee” from you. The reason given for doing this is to send the clear message that you are there to have some “fun”. Some places have a separate changing area with locked lockers, and other places have you get undressed in a private room. Some places may also provide you with a robe or a clear, plastic “purse” that you can carry your valuables with. I’ve never had a problem with stealing at any AMP that I’ve been to so far, but the staff can have a tendency to go thru your things to see how much money you have to spend and whatnot. I always just carry cash with no ID or cards or other valuables with me.

 

-the Table Shower (TS) is a standard event during a visit to an AMP. You can opt out of it in some places, but I’ve always found it to be a very pleasant experience. You should never allow the mama-san to give you a TS...have the person that is “servicing” you that day do it! Always allow the provider time to rinse off the (sometimes padded) table with warm water before lying face down. She’ll scrub and rinse your entire body from neck to toe (literally, it’s rare that I’ve gotten my hair wet), then flip you over...getting every nook and cranny of you clean. They may ask if it’s OK to wash your most prized “jewels” beforehand. Expect to thoroughly get toweled off by her afterwards as well.

 

-either before or after the TS, expect to be asked if you want to go into a hot/dry or steam sauna...you generally do want to do this. It’s a good way to dry off thoroughly after a TS, and it’s only a few minutes. 

 

-after getting back to your room, expect the lights to come down lower and you to be placed naked, face down on a massage-type table. Sometimes they will cover you up completely or partially, and sometimes the massage won’t be much of a real massage...just a rub down. You may see references to “bodywork”, “reflexology”, or “relaxation” in ads...this is the “massage” part. This is also the weak point in many AMP operations as a lot of states require massage certifications which the girls, for some reason, find a hard time getting. You can always call ahead and ask for a particular girl that does massage or just a good girl that you’ve heard about. For no reason should you feel pressured to accept service from someone that you don’t want to...it’s your money. They usually don’t accept a phone call unless you turn off the privacy option that won’t display your phone number...this is to cut down on Law Enforcement calls. Walk-ins are usually always welcome at AMPs though...you need not call ahead unless you really want to.

 

-the point of anxiety for most people is “the flip”...the point at which the massage part of your backside (not literally) ends and the “fun” begins. Some places are known for FS...some only give HJs or BJs. You’ll be asked some plain question like, “Can I do anything else for you baby?” Expect to be called “baby” a lot actually...lol...   I usually just answer “everything” or you can point to certain spots or just be as blunt as you want to. I’ve never been asked to “tip” upfront, but that may happen as well...along with some haggling on price if you want. What should you pay? As little or as much as you’d like to...I’ve heard of everything from an extra $50-200. Sometimes you’ll see AMP reviews where they’ll mention some kind of “code”, like $.4 (which means $140) or .6 (which means $60), etc., etc.

 

-most AMP girls can be very GFE in the way that they treat and speak to you...hugging, kissing, holding your hand, etc., but as is always the case...YMMV!

 

-expect to most likely be assisted in getting your clothes back on...you can either sit back and relax or help out.

 

-how old is the girl who’s “servicing” you? The rule is to add about 10 years to the age that you think she is, or 15 years to the actual age that she might give you if you ask. Asian women age well though in general. Breast implants are hit-or-miss though. 

 

 

 

OK, now for some places that I’ve been to (allegedly...lol...):

 

You might see references to this place as being Downtown Accupressure or the Custom House. It’s located on the 4^th floor of the Custom House, which is in downtown Providence near the corner of Weybosset and Custom House Streets (401-553-5800). It’s in between the Providence River (where the WaterFire is held) and the main downtown square. You’ll need to ring to get into the building (there’s a camera watching the door), and then it’s a looong walk up several flights of stairs that look like they’ve been under construction for years. It’s a Korean place that offers everything up to and including FS. Good luck finding on-street parking though. “Hanna” was a very good Service Provider.

 

This place is located just south of downtown Pawtucket under the apparently rickety I-95 bridge...right next to the Blackstone River (401-728-1700). It’s right next to a hardware store (you can use their parking after a certain time at night) at 88 Pleasant Street. You will have to buzz to get past the reception area and into the locker room area. This is the place to go to get a great, high-level massage, but there are HJs available only. The girl I saw was very attentive, but she stayed fully-clothed the whole time...mutual all over touching was allowed though.

 

Central Health is the nicest AMP that I've come across in RI yet (401-351-1611). It’s really not located at 76 Derry Street (which is a dead-end), but rather down the hill from there just off Oriental Street (no kidding), which is off of Whipple Street...which is in between the main thoroughfares of Douglas Avenue & Admiral Street, just off Route 146 in Providence. There are some signs to follow...it’s around in back of a brick building in an industrial-type area. There is off-street parking available. You will likely deal with a non-Asian at the door, and you will likely be asked to sign some kind of "agreement" for only a "relaxation" experience...not really a massage at all. The inside of the building is very nice, and it is a FS, Korean establishment. The girl that I saw was called Kate-something or another...I can't remember.

 

 

 

Here are some other places that I’ve heard of, but I haven’t been to, yet:

 

Located at 375 Admiral Street in Providence, near the intersection with Douglas Avenue...the building is very small & I think they have off-street parking (401-274-6655). I believe it is a Japanese establishment with only a HJ available...entrance in the back (?).

 

Also known as the “QQ”, located at 81 Richmond Street on the 2nd Floor in downtown Providence...near the corner with Friendship Street, just off I-195 Exit One (401-263-0225). It is apparently a Korean establishment with a HJ available only...the quality of women can vary.

JJ Tuina Bodywork

Located at 30 Pontiac Avenue in south Providence (which can be kind of a rough area at night)...just off Route 10 at the intersection of Route 2 opposite Ocean State Plaza (401-345-2237). This is apparently a Chinese establishment where a BJ or HJ is available with lots of parking...apparently they know approximately zero words of English though, so you generally have to point to things to communicate. 

 

Located at 2 Pontiac Avenue in south Providence at the corner of Pontiac & Reservoir (Route 2) Avenues (401-919-0655). This place is apparently a very small Chinese spa that is FS, however very little English is spoken. It’s apparently about a 100 feet away from JJ Tuina on the same block across from Job Lot...with private parking and an entrance in the back. 

Sundance Inc. Spa

Located at 49 Sheridan Street in Central Falls (or “Sparkle City" as the locals call it), which is off Broad Street or Route 114 (401-722-8222). Central Falls is not the nicest place in RI...it used to be the cocaine capital of the Northeast. 

 

Located at 204 Westminster Street in downtown Providence, which is around the corner from the main square near City Hall and near the corner with Eddy Street (401-274-3773). Good luck finding a place to park downtown. 

 

Located at 725 Branch Avenue Suite #132 in the Wanskuck Complex across from Dunkin Donuts & McDonalds and next to a video store & the World’s Gym...just off Route 146 in Providence (401-831-8818). This place sounds like the hind-end of the AMP-world in RI...the women are rumored to be a bit old for the business.
